This is probably one of the most important thing to my fiance and I when it came to our wedding so I wanted to thoroughly research all of the options. I randomly found Cherie via Instagram somehow. Took a look at her adorable webpage and just fell in love with her soft style.I could not tell where she was located as her portfolio looked like most of the work was done in Hawaii or the bay area. I figured I'll just contact her anyways since I love what I saw. To my surprise she was located in Sacramento so I immediately set up a meeting with her and the rest was history! As soon as we met I just knew I was going to end up booking her. My fiance dubbed me as having a "girl crush" on her. But Cherie was so approachable, friendly, warm and most of all she did not upsell us. The conversation was very "normal" and she answered all of our questions thoroughly. I think her prices are comparable to other photographers I have inquired with but I mean, her work is worth it! We had our engagement shoot a couple months ago and Cherie did an amazing job. The 2 hour shoot went by so quickly. My fiance (who hates taking pictures, even selfies with me!) actually said he had some fun. I'm looking forward to our wedding day and working with Cherie again!

My previous photographer cancelled unexpectedly. She works out of her home and has a cute setup. She offers a variety of options for sessions and does outdoor photos as well. Honestly I was just thankful I was able to find someone to do the photos for me, I wasn't expecting to find my new permanent photographer. I was amazed with her work. While doing my son's first session she educated me about newborn photos and we talked about all the different options like props, backdrops, etc. I'm super indecisive so she helped pick out colors and gave me some great ideas for posing him. After I received our unedited pictures to pick out favorites for completion I decided to book all the milestone pictures with her. For each session I picked out a theme and if she didn't have the backdrop or the props she went out and bought them. She worked hard to make the pictures perfect for us. Each session she always went above and beyond. I've already booked my upcoming Mother's Day session with her. She was a true professional right from the start, introducing herself and calling us by name the moment you arrive at her quaint but classy studio. From the start, she handled the parents, laying down the expectations and the process of getting some keepsake photos of our baby girl and asking us for any desires or input for the shoot. We love our final product! Her naturalistic style is gorgeous! We're happy it wasn't hoaky like some other photographer's albums we've seen... She focuses on the quirks and beauty of your little bundle-o-joy! For those of you who haven't experienced infant photography, it requires some WORK! Kelly handled our baby with amazing comfort and care, helping get her cozy for the shoot. She maintained that gentle touch throughout the shoot, reposing her and re-shooshing her as needed. I got engaged a few months ago and started the wedding planning process. I had no idea what I was…read moredoing and it all felt so overwhelming! I was searching for a photographer and was a little nervous in doing so. The pictures and capturing our moments are so important to me and trusting a complete stranger to be able to do that for me was a little scary. Well I went online and searched and found B. Israel Photography. I messaged them and Cindy messaged me back right away. We chatted for a bit about what we wanted, what they could do for us, and the cost. The price was right on. Not the lowest bid we got, but not the highest either; in the middle and super reasonable for all the extras we would get! I checked out their website and WOW....the pictures on there looked AMAZING! I knew right then I had to have them, so I booked them that same day! Yesterday we met Cindy and Jay for the first time for our engagement pictures. They had found a park that had some beautiful scenery and great light for our shoot. We were super nervous going into the shoot because we had never done this before. We didn't know what to expect or if our personalities/visions would mesh. However within minutes our fears were put to rest! Both Cindy and Jay were absolutely amazing, super personable, yet professional and down to business. Within minutes we were laughing and joking around with them and they really made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Jay is a bit of a perfectionist (which we loved) and would position us in places where the light hit us just right. When he got the shot he wanted his whole face would light up and you could tell that he truly enjoyed what he was doing. While we did some posed pictures we were encouraged to be natural, move around like we normally would, and to just enjoy the moment. Cindy would help to make sure that while striking a pose, or anytime we moved, that our body's looked natural and that we looked the best we could look in each position. While they didn't show us our photos at the shoot, there was one pose I really wanted. Jay was able to capture that picture, showed it to me to make sure I liked it, and we took it a few times to get it just as I was imagining it in my head. I was blown away. The raw pictures already looked perfect with the light streaming through the trees, and it didn't look posed but like he had secretly captured us in a moment! I can't wait to see the final version of it!!! Today was a huge success. Cindy and Jay were so much more than what we expected. You could tell that they knew what they were doing and truly enjoyed the shoot as much as we did! I can honestly say that I know our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures will turn out amazing because of their knowledge, skill, and ability to make us relax in front of the camera. I can't say enough good things about this duo and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone looking for any type of photo shoot (engagement, wedding, family, baby, etc). We took our engagement photos in Half Moon Bay last November and the photos turned out amazing. On the day of our wedding Madison showed up early to take some getting ready photos before we headed to the venue where she and her partner took photos of me putting my dress on then girls and guys separate pre-ceremony photos. After our post-ceremony formal photos, I hardly noticed their presence. My favorite part of the evening was when we snuck out of the reception during dinner for our sunset photos. We had our wedding on a vineyard property so taking photos amongst the vines at sunset was a must and we got some amazing shots. I was also amazed at how quickly she was able to post some photos to her blog and Facebook, we had just stepped off the plane from our honeymoon. We received the rest of our photos a few weeks later.
