Everyone with me enjoyed their food. The only recommendation would be to have more variety of wines and have them all available. The first night, they had no rosé and the second night, they only had one bottle so we switched to white. The second night, I had a mix of appetizers which was also very good. The pasta from the first night was some of the best I have ever had, though it was heavy. They were busy both nights, but the service was great. I would definitely recommend this spot while in Trois Rivières.

B and I came inside to check out the liquor and to see if there is anything that would tickle our fancy. This location is quite small. Therefore selections are very limited. But again, it is located downtown and if I were to guess rent in downtown is prime real estate with a premium. B and I ended up not getting anything from here. The liquor that they sell here are nothing special. Most of them are the common brands that you usually find at any liquor stores.

I think particularly because it feels like we're not supposed to have anything really of extra or special, it feels extra special to get some super cool Québécoise beers delivered to my home. The whole experience with Cheers was agreeable- I visited their website and saw that they sold singles, "caisses", and little fancy snack-type things. Since I'm a woman of great indecision the option to get a variety pack suits me fine. I ordered a six "thirsty" pack and a six "découverte" pack and I'm super pleased with the variety. We got stouts, sours, lagers, ales and a couple IPAs. Something for everyone. So far the beers we've tried have been super interesting and tasty. The customer service is top notch with these folks. The delivery was confirmed immediately after I placed my order. Right away they texted me what time my beers would arrive; in less than 24 hours a friendly beer fella was at my door wishing me "Bonne bière!". While I haven't visited Cheers in person, if the space is any bit as warm and friendly as their staff have been with delivery, I have no doubt that it's a total delight.

The Long Version: So I had heard that in 2018 Sobeys became a majority shareholder of the Asian grocery chain Kim Phat. Sobeys is the parent company of IGA. So I wasn't really surprised when I saw signage outside of this IGA that they have a small Kim Phat section in their store. I was curious to see what it looked like, so I had to go in to take a look. The section is small, but clearly labelled. Just look for the red lanterns hanging from the ceiling. They had a good selection of Asian snacks, but nothing too unique that I can't find back home in Ottawa, so I didn't buy anything. The rest of the grocery store is like other IGAs. This location is connected to the mall (Complexe Desjardins) but there's an entrance from the street as well. If you're looking for Asian items, you can find some here, but to be honest, this IGA is not far from Chinatown, so I would just go to Chinatown where there's more selection, but if for whatever reason you don't want to head down to Chinatown, this IGA will have some items.
