Fraser Coast Italian This is a lovely ambient restaurant along the Esplanade in Torquay. We had a really enjoyable dinner there - good pizza, good pasta and nice salad. Thought we'd try this restaurant out.. My family & I bought 3 dishes from the (take away) menu. Gamberi, Crab Fettuccine & Gorgonzola Gnocchi. To say we were all disappointed is an understatement! They were all completely flavourless! *The gnocchi - was claggy and tasted like a balls of uncooked flour it wasn't eatable at all. We just threw a t in the bin! *The Gamberi- had no flavour and the king prawns tasted like frozen imports (menu states they're local fresh) * Crab Fettuccine- actually wasn't terrible.. after I'd added a heap of salt and pepper. There was copious amounts of crab meat (and cartilage) throughout the dish. At $25 per dish, I'd recommend spending you're money elsewhere. I haven't tried their pizzas. Although I don't think we will go back. There are plenty of great Italian pizza restaurants in the bay! read more

The duck fettuccini was devine! Chicken and pesto was great! The home made gnocchi was amazing! Must try. Food is a definite 5 stars, best Italian I've had. Service lost them a star in my opinion. I will though, eat there again. read more

Not sure why there are no reviews for this hidden gem. We tried for days to find a good place to eat. Finally went to the nicest hotel in town and asked for a recommendation and the told us about Santini and some place 40km down the road. Santini is bigger than it looks, clean, great staff, lots of items on the menu, pretty fast service, and really good food. None of us ate pizza, but the duck fettuccine, spinach and cheese cannelloni, and spinach and riccata tortellini were great. read more

Excellent food and friendly staff! They were able to fit me in even though they were fully booked that night due to a sports event in town. Highly recommended! The food is delicious and well priced and they have BYO for wine and a small bar. I believe they renovated the restaurant recently and it looks very fresh. read more

Food as always fantastic but does not cater for hot days and the restaurant was very hit and stuffy which undoudabtlay takes away from the dining experience . Good food but not when it's hit read more
