My son is a slow and picky eater, yet they always gave him extra time and gentle encouragement. They care for each child as if they were their own. Under the center's care, my son truly blossomed. Well before we expected, he was singing songs to us, identifying letters, counting, and more. And most indicative of this center's awesomeness--my son was always so happy to go to school. It also meant a lot to me that the staff and teachers made genuine, impactful efforts to include our family's culture alongside mainstream culture, for example welcoming us to send in books about our holidays, directly engage the class in activities, and share ideas for the teachers to use. Our children have had a seamless adjustment with the assistance of warm, loving teachers truly interested in their growth and development. They have made diverse friends and enjoy attending school each day. I am not a parent who feels deeply about any particular "curriculums" for young children except play, exploration, love, and more play, particularly outside, so I will simply say that our children return home every evening refreshed and happy from an active day, and with surprising knowledge of things I had no clue about in nursery school. All the staff members are kind, helpful, and genuinely seem to love what they do. I especially appreciate the regular communication from the school. I receive emails and photos that keep me updated on my daughter's daily activities, which gives me great peace of mind. I have personally witnessed situations that made me very uncomfortable, including teachers using very loud voices with children, yelling or screaming when they are upset, and physically pulling or dragging children toward the floor. As a parent, seeing children handled this way is deeply concerning and not the kind of environment I expect for my child. I have also been disappointed with the management. Instead of feeling that my concerns were being taken seriously and addressed with the focus on the children, I often felt that financial matters and payments received more attention. That has made me question whether the children's best interests are truly being prioritized. Another serious concern is how some parents are treated. I have felt that parents are not always treated equally or with the same level of respect. I have personally felt uncomfortable with what appeared to be different treatment based on race or skin color, and I believe every family deserves to be treated fairly and respectfully. Parents trust a daycare with their most precious responsibility--their children. That trust requires safety, respectful treatment, transparency, and accountability. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage parents to ask questions, observe how teachers interact with children, and pay close attention to how management responds when concerns are raised before making a decision about enrolling their child.

He had not been in daycare before and had a lot of separation anxiety when we'd had babysitters and when he first started full-time daycare. Susanna, and her assistant, Mebrat, dealt with this anxiety very well, redirecting him to other activities and keeping him busy. They do lots of different activities with the kids throughout the day, from making play dough and fake snow, playing with toys, singing songs and reading stories, to playing outside when the weather permits. She provides healthy meals and snacks too! She also sends us daily pictures of the kids having fun playing and learning. Susanna and Mebrat are always kind and nurturing and are able to make sure my son is always learning something new, is safe, happy, and healthy. I can tell that they really care and have a positive relationship with my son and all of the other children. I feel confident leaving my child in her care, knowing that he will be socializing with the other kids and learning while having fun!

Most important is that they truly love and nurture the children under their care. We could see and experience this from the moment we dropped our son off on his first day. The teachers are kind, our children absolutely love them and call them their 'best friends,' and the whole staff works to ensure the kids learn, grow, are challenged in the right ways, and foster such a welcoming and supportive environment. Maria who runs the daycare pours her heart and soul into the program. She communicates frequently with parents with texts and emails in addition to the regular newsletters that inform parents about the food, schedules and activities for the children. We have three children there now, all who attended during the pandemic, and it was a rough challenge for Maria and her staff to juggle all the health concerns but there was never a doubt they were trying to accommodate everyone as best as they could. Also, for any families like ours who were not Spanish speaking, each of our three children now understand and speak Spanish (which is remarkable) and Maria and her leadership staff are bilingual and are able to communicate with English speaking families about anything they need. Just an example of how much of family/community atmosphere that Buenos Amigos fosters, each year they rent an auditorium and put on a few 'shows' with the kids who learn songs and dance routines and you can see how much your children and learning and growing every day. In sum, my wife and I could not recommend Beunos Amigos highly enough. We entrust our three children to them, and in a way consider them part of our family now.

The teachers are kind and affectionate (before they are fired for no good reason). Cons: Maria the owner is always telling lies. She lies to her staff about the reason for firing them, lies to parents about why she fires her staff (including making up weird stories in parents newsletters), and lies about a handful of other things too. She is also paranoid and vindictive -- she tries to get gossip from parents about other parents and from teachers about other teachers and punishes people based on what she learns. We will miss the teachers, but most of our favorite teachers are gone now anyway. Overall, there was way too much drama here and we would have been better off somewhere else -- I don't consider this a very professionally run or reliable daycare.

The staff is incredibly nurturing and caring, and there is very little turnover so our children have been able to build strong relationships with their teachers over multiple years. The curriculum is very play-based, and weather permitting, the kids are outside playing both morning and afternoon. Our kids would come home with all sorts of skills--physical and mental--and LOVE going to school. They offer healthy and varied lunches for kids over one or you can bring your own food. The teachers are also great with first time parents, helping us through potty training, keeping shoes on feet, etc. The school is bilingual and a lot of the staff are native Spanish speakers.
