I think Enrich was a chain as well, but the atmosphere was adorable (little flowers on the table), and the danishes were flaky and tasty. I do think El Fornet was a little better though.
Everything looked delicious

They have a good selection of breads, croissants, pastries, etc. My fiance got the bikini croissant which had ham and cheese inside a croissant that they toasted, and it was quite good. I would recommend getting this - I almost wish I had gotten this instead of the empanada. I got an empanada with tuna and tomato inside which was good but not amazing. The sweet pastries and croissants looked great but we didn't have any of them. The cafe con leche was good, but what I particularly liked was the freshly squeezed orange juice that I could see them making to-order. I'd highly recommend getting a glass of this. Overall, nice place to come get a pastry, snack or quick breakfast. They have seats at the bar or small tables to sit and relax and the ambiance is nice with a lot of natural light and windows.

Yelp to the rescue when we were looking for a breakfast spot in Barcelona!…read more This Delightful bakery was located about a third of a mile, or .6 km, from our hotel which was next to the train station. They had an incredible array of all things baked goods. They also had good coffee related options as well as what appeared to be a lot of local goods for sale. We had a number of delicious pastries including some very good donuts. Our kids were very excited about the donuts! Prices were very normal and the folks here were very friendly, and we're very effective at communicating with those of us who don't speak much Spanish. The seating area was more than ample and included a number of different options including tables and bar level seating. Worth a stop for a morning pastry or an anytime treat!

Instead of paying for breakfast at your hotel you should go to this place. It is a very charming place, strong WiFi, plenty of space and rustic decor. This is a place for the locals, so you are getting really good food. Everything was delicious: coffee, croissants, pastries, baguette with jamón ibérico. It is in a very busy area but to be honest It was fine inside. I am going again before leaving Barcelona!

Yelp 100 Challenge 2018 103/100 !…read more Is it a deli? Is it a bakery? Is it a patisserie? The answer really is Foix de Sarria is all three. When you walk in you turn to the left and there are displays filled with artisan chocolates and well-crafted pastries. You look down the small shop and you see fresh baked bread on the walls and meats/cheeses also on display for gourmet sandwiches. Finally, if you turn ever so slightly you'll then see a line out the door for their ice creams, sorbets, and gelatos. On this hot day walking around Barcelona, these iced treats are magnificent. They have fruit sorbet flavors like mango that are refreshingly tasty. They also have gelatos that had a real deep creamy taste. We also purchased their fig tart and mango mousse and just looking at the photos below you'll be able to see the exquisite nature of each. Both were delicious and come in this gold packaging that just adds to the wow-factor of the desserts. You could find a dozen bakeries walking around this area. You might also find a handful of ice cream shops. But at Foix de Sarria you can have the best of both worlds in one stop. Worth a try!
