We also ordered the La Marie without cream cheese, you can upgrade your bread doe &3 and we ordered the multigrain which is wholesome and nutty. The hummus is insanely good and you can buy the bread on the side . They have a nice and unique wine selection at a affordable price. You can sit down and enjoy yourself. The staff is very helpful and attentive and the food come out quick . They do not have an English menu but you can figure out or you can ask for the free wifi pass and translate .

Either too sweet, lacked a variance in texture or flavor, or just downright unappealing. Wide variety of cakes to choose from and can order by the slice or by the whole. The small/pequeno is equivalent to a demitasse cup (1 shot of espresso) whereas the grande is probably a 5oz cup. I'd definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a coffee pick me up or European quality cakes.

Then I saw they opened another in Ipanema and shortly after another in Leblon. This type of place seems like it would do well here. This store is not quite as large and doesn't have the display of the working portion of the bakery behind the window like the flagship store but it's less cramped and has a similar decor. I got a classic mille-fueille pastry and a cappuccino (they top with chocolate and cinnamon if you like). Both were quite delicious. There were only one or two pastries of each kind left, which is good because they don't make more than they can sell for the day, but still had a decent selection. I also got a loaf of Italian bread and will try it tomorrow with my meal. I'm excited they opened this branch out in this neighborhood.

After eating, it's the perfect spot to continue your day with a walk along Copacabana or a visit to the fort museum right next door. I came with my family and had the chance to try several dishes. The cappuccino was outstanding, with the perfect balance of sweetness and a warm touch of cinnamon. The American toast with jam was delicious, and we also tried the pistachio éclair, which was very good, although it tasted more like a creamy filling than a strong pistachio flavor. The pastel de nata was small but really tasty as well. My favorite, though, was the "Queijo do Forte," a breaded brie that was absolutely incredible. The Assado de Gorgonzola was also perfectly prepared, full of rich flavor, and the meat was cooked just right. As a final highlight, I loved being able to enjoy a truly fresh natural orange juice with lunch -- something I really miss when I'm abroad. A perfect mix of food, tradition, and one of the best views in Rio.
