I came into the store the week of 12/08/25 with silver coins (Liberty Dollars, Walking Liberty, Mercury Dimes, etc...) and a set of flatware for 8, from the 1960s. The owner was very pushy to start with. Ok, I kinda expected that. He was very quick to tell me that I did not have any "special" coins. he gave me $190 very quickly. He was adamant that he was only gonna make much on the coins. Then he turned his attention to the flatware. He informed that the knives were not worth anything. I corrected him because the handles are silver and the blade is steel. He changed his mind about them not being worth anything. He offered me $500. I left. A couple of days later, I went to a coin dealer in Gainesville. I was paid $1,200 for my flatware. The knives are valued at 1/2 ounce of silver. I believe that I was ripped off for my coins to the amount of about $200. read more
