Doctor María…read morede la Sota was very assuring in my dental emergency (my veneer broke), and she recommended that the veneer be removed and replaced with a crown instead. She was very friendly, which helped since I was so nervous (it was my first week in Barcelona!). If I didn't know what she was saying in Spanish, she would translate in English-much appreciated. Each week, I would come back and try on the crown, but she did not like how it looked. In a nutshell, she was a perfectionist. That itself was perfect because I wanted my fake tooth to look like a real one! She even brought in the specialist who makes and colors the crowns to meet me and diagnose the situation as well. She was willing to keep working until the perfect, believable crown was made. I'm back in America and no one can tell which one is the crown. In addition, my teeth had moved in all of this. She then referenced me to her orthodontic partner, who quickly made me new retainers with an apparatus that would push back the teeth that had moved. Ximena, the secretary, is always so warm and welcoming, so I was always at ease. Definitely like this office much better than my regular dentist at home here in California!

We found Ed Dent and decided to take a chance. It was a great choice. The husband and wife who own it are from Argentina and are extremely helpful. They spoke enough English and we spoke enough Spanish to communicate. Best thing is we were able to get a next day appointment. If you're from the states, the teeth cleaning is a bit "old school" and we had our first fluoride treatments since we were kids. But our teeth looked great and I did not have a cavity as feared.
