I called in Sandwichez while in Barcelona, as this sandwich shop / coffee bar is quite close to my hotel. I was aware Sandwichez is a chain having saw many branches around Barcelona, and knowing that I hoped they do gluten free so I called in today.
The staff seemed okay, they weren't too friendly or rude either, after some struggle they told me about the gluten free offerings, however it did take a customer to be able to translate for me even though it said gluten free right behind her, which I was trying to say and point out.
The selection was poor, there wasn't a menu but there was just some sandwiches I couldn't hav.e
The overall selection was poor, they lacked a simple cheddar cheese and had all fancy ones, which I just didn't like, when it comes to cheese I just like simple and they don't do it here.
Most of the sandwich combinations weren't great either, I wanted something simple such as Tuna or Ham and Cheese, but they lacked that too and she didn't seem to adapt either, although I'm sure they had most of the ingredients in, she wouldn't make something off the menu.
I didn't notice any free wi-fi and inside it was also just okay. it wasn't the nicest of places but was more like a cafe.
In the end I decided to leave both hungry and disappointing so sadly I feel they deserve a single one star. read more
