There is fresh baked scones as well as beverages in the Frig.. We stayed in the Sadie's Room on the 1st floor which was nice. It was clean and relatively quiet. The breakfast was very good. Negatives: One of the things that is lacking in this B&B (and many other B&B's, hotels) is suitcase holders. The Hinson House seems to have only 2 for the entire B&B. Our room had only one but luckily we were the only guests that evening, so we were able to get the other one. The B&B is located on one of the main drags through town. Vehicles go by relatively fast and can be dangerous when pulling out if one doesn't exercise caution. It was a delight talking with David and Olivia. If traveling through this part of Florida, we definitely will be staying here again.

What I have found is that the staff is incredibly nice. Others who were there also commented on how accommodating and genuinely friendly the staff is. They allow pets and dog relief area is out back. The hotel is constantly being cleaned and what smells like sterilized. The manager arranged for food trucks to be outside the hotel during this natural disaster to help those staying to have easier access to food. This isn't an area I would have thought to visit in the last, and drove past many years ago. However, the hotel management and staff made an incredibly stressful time so much easier and brighter than I could have thought possible. Thank you to them!!! So much.

The three pillows on the bed seem to be smaller than a standard pillow and if they were 1" think I would be surprised. I folded mine in half and it felt like I still didn't have a pillow. We didn't try the TV in the room nor did we see if the small refrigerator in the room was working. We just needed to sleep. My wife will tell you that the towels and wash cloths were great.

I just finished a 14 hour drive from Oklahoma and didn't come here expecting the Taj Mahal. A decent nights rest was all I needed, but I couldn't even get that. As soon as I walked through the room, a roach scurried across the bathroom wall. Not a great first sign. There were mystery orange stains all over the tub/shower. I booked a single king room, but got two smaller beds instead. One of the comforters had what looked like a large burn hole in it. The pillows were limp and provided no support. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, very rough and rigid. It was one of the worst beds I've tried to sleep in over all my years of traveling. To add insult to injury, there were several hairs all over the bed. Overall, the room also had a very musty odor. The A/C didn't work right. No matter what setting or temperature you set it at, it would just randomly turn off or on. The curtains didn't fully cover the window, so bright light started was shining in all night. I barely slept at all. I'm not sure what was up with the mini fridge. I opened it and it felt warm. There was a puddle of water in the small freezer section. I made the mistake of putting a beverage in there. Thinking it might get just cool enough to drink, it ended up freezing solid. User eThe only thing I could think of was maybe the fridge got defrosted before I arrived? The weird thing is I checked in at 12:30 a.m., so you'd think any defrosting would have been done by then. We turned on the light only to find the room old and dirty. There are stains on the chair. The bathroom was worn and dirty and just plain nasty like it hadn't been cleaned. The was a steady drip in the tub, they must be spending a fortune on the water bill. The drip was a stream of water in the tub. I put a towel in the tub to soften the sound of the water. Everything had a worn, or rusted or old stain and dirty look to it. The bed smelled of chemicals. The pillows were paper thin. We should have left but we were exhausted. We didn't want to touch anything as it seemed disgusting. We went to bed so we could sleep and hurry to get out and leave. Never again will I accept a room like this!!
