Walking through the areas of town considered by one such northerner to be worthy, I stumbled across Wohlerspark, and I was smitten immediately.
There's nothing grandiose about the park; it's not big, has neither the grandeur of Planten un Blomen nor the size of the Stadtpark, lacks both lake and river frontage, and yet there's something sublime about this spot.
An excellent place to start the day, or end an evening.
