Ace Custom Granite - Sink placed back crooked and too far back, and granite surrounding it is wavy and crooked

This review is for the Muskogee team. Picked out a slab through their front man, Alex Pillow, who…read morewas friendly and helpful enough. The following week Bryan Conn came out to measure, and then two weeks later on 7/19/23 the fabrication / installation team showed up and it's downhill from there: 1. They left a gash in our brand new island. 2. They took out the apron front sink and when they put it back in they didn't line it up or bring it forward all the way so now it's in there crooked. 3. They took design liberties with the entire slab and did two different shapes for corners on it. 4. While they were installing we noticed that the counter was visibly off level. When we pointed this out we got an argument in return, until we produced our own level to verify. 5. Every piece of granite that projects beyond the cabinets has stringy stuff underneath and a powdery residue. 6. Not a straight edge to be found - the island looks crooked from any angle; the granite meets flush with some drawers and extends beyond with others. 7. The backsplash is pieced together with horrible seams, and the 30" piece they put behind the range does not match. Also the bottom of that piece is unfinished and crumbling into our range vents. 8. Anything and everything we brought to their attention was met with nothing but arguments and back talk - from all three guys doing the job. 9. We called Bryan multiple times and no action has been taken as of yet, even though he admits its a poorly done job (sent pics same day). It's been over 2 months and there has been zero follow up from anyone at ACE. This is the first house we've ever owned and a lot of thought went into it, including custom kitchen cabinetry which is now topped with amateur workmanship. Add insult to injury by not keeping their word (Bryan Conn) to send someone out to fix it. Do yourself a favor and find a different fabricator.

When it comes to the phrase "leave it to the experts," it was NOT referring to Ace Custom Granite…read more This install was a simple new small apartment that we were very specific during the measuring/quoting process on wanting a 1 1/2" overhang so we would not have water running down the front of the custom cabinets but that was not our results in the kitchen. We were optimistic they would correct the shoddy install, but one of the owners, Brian Polak, double downed and blamed us for not making sure their installers knew how to do their job and follow the drawings provided by their employer. My husband assumed he did not have to monitor their every move but that was a mistake. We can only assume they were not able to read a tape measure or use a square which resulted in 1 1/4" to 1 3/4" crooked overhangs. Since there was a slight bow in a section of the wall, they glued the backsplash down out of square instead of taking a few minutes to shim the area. They also cut the fixtures to what they thought they should be instead of the template provided and argued with my husband when he requested the correction. Since they had to be called back, Polak stated we were costing him more money even though they had been scheduled to be on site for a day and a half but managed to cut it back to less than one since they bypassed any and all quality standards. They really topped it off by installing a cracked vanity backsplash and trying to patch it with a different color without informing anyone. But of course, our request to have it replaced with a solid piece was met with excuses of searching for the material and suggestions of other ways to repair the damage instead. Although we were reassured by the salesman, Brian Conn, that they would fix all the issues, they arrived over 2 hours later than scheduled and claimed they were only directed to trim the sections to the shortest overhang of 1 1/4" instead of removing and reinstalling the portion to be a straighter 1 1/2". They also did not know anything about a replacement for the damaged granite and were directed to patch it again with a different color, so we are not sure if anyone even took the time to look. The lead installer also tried to convince us that we had a different brand of tape measure, and that our measurements of 1 1/4" were actually 1 3/8", so that was the real problem, but he appears to be the only one with this magic tape measure. If you are looking for a quick subpar install, then Ace is the company for you! If you are requesting a quality install to industry or custom standards, be on site with a measuring tape, square, and level and prepare for an argument during the whole process! Instead of actually taking the time to come and review the issues, both Brian's gave us various inconsistent stories, and Polak took it as an opportunity to be demeaning and accuse us of having unrealistic expectations. Brian Conn would not answer or return our calls, and Brian Polak said he would review with Conn and call us back but never did. This nightmare resulted in additional costs to remove and reinstall the granite by a company that I will highly recommend. They even took additional time to find a piece to replace the damaged backsplash so we did not have to replace the whole vanity. To all of Ace's owners and employees, learn to take some pride in your work and stand behind what you do. This should have never happened, and nobody should be treated this way during an already stressful process. You were wrong and should have been honest and corrected your mistakes!
