The Office of Personnel Management will review them. If we don't get pre-approval, we could end up doing them all over again. Maureen Nancy Jun 27, 2023, 8:40AM to Dale, Maureen Wow, how easy it would be to have a conversation in these last 6 months since texts and emails get no response. So I guess I'll type my questions and hope to get a reply sometime in the near future. WHAT was going to be sent over the weekend? WHO has to pre-approve the orders? WHAT REASONS would it not be approved? HOW MUCH LONGER do we wait for the preapproval? WHY couldn't this have been in process months ago? WHAT PAPERWORK were you referring to in your text on March 23rd? "You are not bothering me. I DRAFTED PAPERWORK and need to get it out to your ex. Thanks for the nudge. Stay dry!" She met me outside of the courthouse so that I never felt alone, or had to be alone with the person I was suing. She thought quick on her feet and shot down all the foolishness the opposition through at her quickly and succinctly. Through every step of the way she took time to explain the process and what the next steps would be along with time lines. She always prepared me for the next step in the process, always reassured me I would be ok. She is a straight shooter and didn't sugar coat anything. She told me it like it was and by far exceeded my expectations. Her motions and filings were all very thorough and she was successful in getting the person deemed a vexatious litigator. She is knowledgeable and also has a passion for the law and justice. I would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to anyone that is looking for a good competent thorough attorney. She helped me get my life back so I wouldn't waste any more time defending myself against frivolous lawsuits, as well as assisted in saving the county money by not allowing this individual to bring forth any future frivolous lawsuits. Heather is kind, knowledgeable and a force to be reckoned with. I can't say enough good things about her. If you need an attorney look no I recently called attorney Gyekenyesi about another matter and she explained to me that while what happened was wrong the current law was poorly written and what she has seen is that people in similar situations have ended up spending a lot of money and time and walking away frustrated. She suggested that I contact the prosecutor and see why this happened. She could have taken my money but instead she gave me good advice and a solution. This is why I liked her in the first place. She's not in it for the money. She truly believes in the justice system and helping people. Her integrity is impeccable and her abilities at assisting clients is unparalleled. I whole heartedly recommend her for any legal matter. I am confident that she will do a good job and if ever she feels as though she can't help you she will tell you and help you get to someone that can. Ms. Schraff, under the guise of ethical concerns, which I totally agreed with and understood, met privately with my father who is rather naive when it comes to these complicated matters of the times we live in. Rather than ASK him if he wanted to include me in their meeting, they met privately so that I could not be sure all concerns were addressed. I also was foolish and communicated with her prior to share some background of our family circumstances and my concerns...this seemed to color, imo, her attitude toward me, painting me as the potentially exploitative daughter and nothing could be further than that. During the course of things, as she prepared the routine will, and POA's etc, some questions came up that I sent to her via email. While she did provide some preliminary guidelines about fees that was signed off on, I was totally shocked to see bills come through for "Read, Review and Respond" to emails I had sent. It may be acceptable, but I found it unconscionable to be of so little assistance on behalf of a client. Once I got a bill I limited all communication with her. At the end of things I felt advance planning was not well explained or discussed, and she ever so sweetly offered to further meet with u$$$$. In fact, I called to clarify that the fee to review the papers and sign them was included before we would ever step foot in her office again...some of the work was in draft form, but others could be signed with a notary which we could do at no cost at AAA. It took, as I recall THREE DAYS and multiple calls on my part to get a response to that simple question until the last when I pointed out our appointment was the next day or that afternoon and I/we were not coming unless I/we had an answer. I warned my father not to ask any questions at all, to sign only, dare we incur additional fees. And in the end because of concerns about my mother who has dementia, we wound up with another certified attorney closer to home who was OUTSTANDING. Although, from a professional/peer standpoint it was clear she didn't want to pursue and recourse, she nearly immediately in her brief review of the work that had been done found a huge error that required us to pay AGAIN to have the same work /form done. Although it was as I recall several hundred hard-earned dollars, it didn't seem worth having to deal with Ms Schraff again.
