Came and saw the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra (5/5)!!! They were incredible. Free for Harvard students and $10 tickets with student ID. Sanders theatre is inside the MEMORIAL HALL which is a stunning building. Bathrooms in the downstairs area. Didn't appear to be very handicap friendly. If you will need special assistance perhaps call ahead. The downstairs area had a LOT of seating and looked like a cool place to do some work.

During my time in Boston, I have had the good fortune of attending concerts and lectures at Sander's Theater. It's a wonderful venue in the middle of Harvard Square. The balcony offers surprisingly good views/acoustics. There are many other local venues where coming later than planned dooms you to an obstructed view.

I used to attend shows at The Rockwell at least once a month. It was a dive-bar of a venue, but it…read morehad heart. That, unfortunately, has changed over the past several years. Attended a show there in the summer and while the show was great, the venue is in horrendous shape and they don't care. First, they claim to be ADA compliant. That's pretty much a lie. They're wheelchair accessible, *IF* they remember to open the door that leads to the elevator, and ALSO to unlock the door that leads to the venue, HOWEVER, they very often forget one or both of those, but also, they do NOT have an accessible restroom!! Saloon, down the hall, allows use of their accessible restroom, *IF* they're open, but they have cut their hours, and were not open during the aforementioned show. No warning, just no ADA-compliant restroom. This is BAD. I have emailed the venue FOUR TIMES and have been completely ignored. So here we are. A place that used to be quirky but cool, is now just a little craphole that sometimes manages to book good talent. I would definitely advise my friends who produce shows to find elsewhere. Communication is important. So is accessibility. They do NOT care. I was going to be nice and give 2 stars, but you know what? With their willingness to refuse to talk about/include accessibility, they can take their one star and shove it.

Rude staff and SCAM. Read the other reviews BY MUSICIANS. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place…read more Good beer is about all. They did not pay a group who had several out of town members and even one from out of the country and asked them to pay full price entry to the show before as well as for drinks. Also charge a ridiculous price to rent the venue after 10p on a weeknight when nobody is there. Pay to play for touring musicians - don't support this place if you care about honorability in music

When it comes to the intimacy of a smaller room, nothing compares to the vibe of this great sounding + visually stunning venue, thanks to Dan Masi for the fantastic wall murals, and to the entire staff for always maintaining a welcoming + energetic atmosphere. The beer + wine selection is superb. Sure the hotel bars bring in some heavy hitters, but the Lilypad consistently features the absolute best of the phenomenal + varied artists we are blessed with in the amazing music scene of greater Boston, as well as talent from NYC + all over the country. The music programming is incredibly varied; some of the best jazz + chamber music performances I have ever enjoyed happened here. The ongoing Sunday-night Jazz Jam session is an awesome scene, always featuring great opening performances by the house-band, followed by convivial jazz jamming, open to players + listeners alike, not to be missed!
