Warning: Ignore the 5 star reviews and pay attention to the left-crying, combative, rude energy,…read moreripped off , creepy apartment reviews. I ditto their story and feel like the wedding dress I just demanded back from her unfinished needs an exorcism. Please don't let her get her negativity on you and your dress before your wedding. She will probably be nice to you after she takes deep sighs and tells you how it's your fault, you bought the wrong dress like all the brides these days, it's too heavy, it's going to break her sewing machine, she has to charge double, and a multitude of it's your fault comments. I can't believe I paid $765 (plus a hefty $125 PREPAID consult fee) to have a simple layer shortened and then be told that I have to live with the way the dress looks. I've taken it somewhere else and they happily have told me it will be beautiful when they're done. I called her later that first day and said I was feeling kind of upset , and I said I wanted to come back and revisit it - there was going to be another consult fee. Isn't that part of what we pay for when you hire an Alterations person- Their time and advice? Seems she's only nice to you after she makes you feel bad, that's the only reason I can imagine for the positive reviews. PS my dress smelled like weird perfume when I picked it up (?!) so if you have an allergy to perfume you may want to let her know that! Ick. PPS she charges tax on her Service (which I questioned) , but you're not allowed to write Alterations in the Venmo comment. Kind of suspect.

Happy Earth Day 2026!…read more If you're a data driven person like me, you know or will look up the tons of clothing that are polluting the planet. Solution? Resell or donate the things you no longer find useful, no longer want, and/or no longer bring you joy. The beauty of being a stylish woman? Someone out there wants the things I don't. They really REALLY do. Create space in your wardrobe and jewelry box, get some cash in your bank account, it's all good. Reaching out to The RealReal to start your consignment has never been easier. Once you contact a representative, they can send someone to you home, send a truck to do a front door pickup, or email you a label to ship the items you want to sell. So convenient! Once they receive the items, you will receive notification. They will have their experts review the items authenticity, photograph them, and list them. You will get a link to watch your items as they launch and sell. The cash lands in the account of your choice. Your beautiful things are now someone elses beautiful things with renewed positive energy. It's all so very wonderful and you saved those things from clogging the landfills and littering the planet. It's a win win, my favorite!

Since I had missed the return window, I listed them on Facebook Marketplace--only for the listing to be immediately flagged as fake. That raised a red flag, so I took the shoes to a well-respected designer consignment store in San Francisco. Their authentication expert pointed out three separate signs that the shoes were not genuine. So, not real real after all. When I took the shoes to The RealReal in Larkspur, I was directed to a text-based chat with a "specialist" who told me that because the return window had passed, there was nothing they could do. I'm now out over $400 for two pairs ( one with a broken heel that they said I should have come in right away about). Extremely disappointed. A company that claims to care about luxury and sustainability should at the very least stand behind the authenticity of what it sells. This experience makes me seriously question their values.

Having spent much of my younger "Yeah I'm going out of the house dressed like this, what's the big…read moredeal?" years in NJ - I've developed a strange fascination for short denim shorts. I spied some in the window here the other day and just had to go inside. I've been trying not to spend money on clothes - since my closet literally is overflowing with a wealth of garments that I have yet to wear, but I couldn't help but do some browsing here. As far as clothing - Gala has a hip, nice selection of things. They carry an abundance of Free People clothes, designer jeans, beautiful jewelry and a vast selection of soft cotton shirts, dresses and more.I found alot of the clothes to be fairly muted in color - alot of beiges, blacks, whites, and blues; nice, casual, chic, and wearable - but nothing really popped. That being said - everything felt amazing and high quality to the touch and if I had the space in my closet, and the money in my wallet - I would love to rock any and all of the clothes in Gala. The fourth star is for the friendly woman, working here. She was patient when I was walking around the store, and was more than willing to help - when I had questions about the best place to wait for a cab in the rain. If you're in Larkspur - stop by Gala - if even just to window browse. Their stuff is on the pricier end of things, but it sounds like they rotate their clothes fairly often, and if you're looking for stylish practical wear - they carry a great selection of comfortable and flattering outfits.

I too am a very disgruntled customer. Back in February…read moreweeks before covid I was in the process of moving and had a carload of high end designer clothing that I took in to consign, Bridgette was estatic seeing all the beautiful pieces she said would sell easily if not in the store she would post on line in her Poshmark store. We counted over 80 pieces of evening gowns ,cashmere coat, designer hats , dresses many high - end pieces . The owner Bridgette was so delighted and not to worry she would send an itemized list of everything I left entrusted to her. WRONG DECISION on my part . Covid started a few weeks after and I let a few months go by hearing she had lost her son and knowing she wasn't open due to covid , I reached out in emails ,numerous phone calls & texts, to no avail. Meanwhile my husband died tragically in late August of same year(my witness who unloaded all the clothes initially). Needless to say I was in seclusion for 6 mons.or so mourning my loss. Several times over the last 3 years I've reached out asking for the itemized list and was told she had gave it to me . She hadn't done so ,she had the list confused with the prior lot I dropped off which did indeed I did relieve that list and got paid a couple of checks. She continually had lied and said she had sent an itemized list of the most recent drop off. She has conti ued to shine me on and when I went in earlier this week she said she had nothing and didn't owe me anything!!! I AM LIVID TO SAY THE LEAST !!! She has outright stolen over roughly $5000 worth of my belongings!!! She is a dishonest store owner. I consign at various stores in Marin and still have wonderful repore with all 6 consignment stores I work with here in Marin EXCEPT FOR SUGAR NEVER, NEVER have I run into such dishonest thievery from a business owner. Besides the fact she REEKED of ALCOHOL & had so much pastey makeup on . Forgetful, unprofessional and dishonest business owner . I see I am not the only upset customer that she has ripped off !!! She steals from people like you and I in order to profit from her unsuccessful business. She'll STEAL from you too. Beware, forewarned.

With that insight, and just the great conversation we had, he delivered a cut I absolutely love. His wife Amy was also wonderful. Highly recommend Salon B to anyone, especially those with curly hair looking for someone who truly understands it!

Eileen Fisher outfits is that for me and Nordstrom is where I shop for it because unlike the EF store, at Nordstrom I can also buy bras and shoes in the same trip) Nordstrom has outfitted me through the many chapters of my life starting from my teen years. I continue to enjoy the consistent top tier customer service, wonderfully curated options in store, on site tailoring, and their generous return policy. I used to have a Nordstrom personal shopper. Then I was a member of The Trunk. Now I am considering the option to have Nordstrom brought to my home so I can try and buy things without going to the physical location. Stonestown and downtown SF used to be my primary stores. Now it's Corte Madera. This store is so well stocked, I almost never hear "I can order it online".
