Got lucky, well, sort of, by just trying it when I went to charge my car. The cafe is the only coffee place in this shopping maul (spelled correctly) that has killed more stores and eateries than is normal for a center this new. A few weeks, a shift to a weaker coffee, and a couple of staff changes to some pretty unpleasant folks working the Saturday later, and I will find pretty much anything else other than this place to frequent. I can go back to getting the OK coffee at Hofmann's chocolates, where they're at least pleasant. It's an exercise studio that has a cafe, coffee place with breakfast, smoothies and lunch sandwiches. They've even added a take out window for the cafe. (Hard to take out exercise bikes). What it seems to lack is some good customer service, and people skills currently. Some training on how to deal with people. Maybe that's why there's a: "we're hiring" sign up. Of course, none of this really happened because it's just a gym, and it is closed, right? It says that right here on yelp!

Carmine talked to me about his science-based workouts and the modifications that he has for every exercise. He told me about strengthening my previously injured joints and building my body back up systematically. So, I got started with HSD. I've been going there for 8 weeks. I have dropped 4% body fat, gained 5 lbs of muscle, and I am achieving goals which I previously thought were impossible. The gym itself is exactly what I wanted and the training style focuses on my goals and keeping me safe. Monday is "Push" day. Wednesday is leg day. Friday is "Pull" day. Tuesday and Thursday are cardio days. But every day integrates workouts to help build my strength, endurance, and body composition. They also have a fun obstacle course based 2-hour open gym on Saturday mornings. 8 weeks ago, I couldn't do a pull-up. Today, I can do four. HSD also creates a family atmosphere. Clients are called "Athletes" and encouraged to write their 6-week goal on the chalkboards on the wall. They also have a big wall painted with chalkboard paint and the Athletes write inspirational quotes. Everyone is treated like family and there is a real teamwork atmosphere about the gym. I'm 42 years old and I used to workout at the typical franchise gyms. This is absolutely not that. High Speed Dirt is the gym that I wished I had found many years ago. Now, I look froward to going to the gym. I leave there drenched in sweat and with a big smile on my face.
