I cannot even begin to tell you how pleased I am with this estate planning law firm. LOVED working…read morewith Shawn, he is amazing. He answered all questions and was so patient with my 70yr old mom with all her questions related to her estate planning as well as things that had nothing at all to do with estate planning. He didn't make her feel like a number nor was he in a hurry. He used a white board to show her a pictorial presentation as its quite a intricate process to cover yourself and your family upon your death or even prior to your death when you may not be able to choose for yourself. He allowed all questions to be answered and even allowed her to leave and think about if she wanted to work with him. There was no pressure to sign on the dotted line or even write a check. She of course didn't even have to think about it and asked him to proceed with his specialty. She is now feeling much more at ease, as am I that all the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted. She and I can rest our head at night knowing there are no issues with the estate or trust that could fall apart for any reason after her death. He is so solid that I am thrilled that we have this quality of professionalism in our small town. Don't delay in this important process of life. We all wait too long as my mom has done before getting this important detail taken care of. My husband and I thought if we had a will drawn up that we were taken care of in the event something happened to one of us.....NOT TRUE. I need to get my husband and I back into his office to resolve the entire process of estate planning. I found out today that the will is just a small piece to the puzzle of estate planning. In fact a will means you will surely go to probate with no trust created, which is what we were trying to prevent when we drew up the will. I am coming back to him for my own estate planning. Way to go YUMA for having such qualified, professional people loving on our community and taking care of its people :) Way to go Shawn for being so wonderful to work with.

Kristen sounded more like a body guard for Mr. Hanson than interested in my concerns being addressed. She rudely kept shooting me down in a way that felt belittling and degrading. Our first appointment was missed due to miscommunication from office staff about attending virtually. They were kind enough to reschedule so we went and were handed a clip board by the woman and nothing else was said so we assumed they checked us in and we were waiting for them to be ready. After nearly 30 minutes waiting, I pondered if they were waiting for us to do something so I handed her the clip board that took us a whole 5 minutes to fill out so why no one checked on us within that 20 minutes of us just looking around patiently is beyond me. So immediately after the clip board we're back in the office on go time And thank goodness Adam Hanson was amazing. Very human and I appreciate that about him because if he hadn't shown us the care and compassion he did, we wouldn't have continued. Major life events have come into play and I'm curious as to how to move forward and my conscious is pulling me towards a conversation regarding our future and I would like a chance to discuss this with the one attorney I've met in my life that is someone I trust with these details. Kristen and I resolved the matter by me deciding to reach out to the paralegal regarding these things and I'm hopeful that I'll get the assistance I'm looking for. I give this rating not to the attorney who is and has been great. This rating is strictly for the office staff that I've never had a pleasant encounter with. bummer!

My brother and I live on the east coast and our stepsister lives in Yuma. At one point, Ms. Gale actually advised me to lie to my parents about their finances. She advised me to tell them I was in possession of their personal property when in actuality it had been sold. I found this to be unconscionable for someone entrusted by Arizona to handle probate and family court issues. Subsequently, after my father's death the estate was further poorly handled, and again without proper inventories being filed, my brother and I fired Ms. Gale. Later on, while Ms. Gale was still retained by my step-sister, my brother and I discovered that our father had a will, which was filed with the state bar association. Ms. Gale previously informed us that Dad didn't have a will. Then when we presented the will to the court, Ms. Gale decided to contest it, smugly stating it was not her job to validate the will (thankfully we recorded this conversation). Moreover, despite Ms. Gale failing her due vigilance, the Court accepted the will as valid. The original judge in the case, directed us to settle the matters of the division of property, with Ms. Gale via conference, in order to keep matters from being tied up in the court, and to save litigation costs. Despite our best efforts to come to good-faith agreements with Ms. Gale, she started filing needlessly repetitive, verbose, illogical and factually false pleadings with the Court. Ms. Gale and our step sister made numerous easily disproved false accusations about my how my brother and I were conducting the affairs of our deceased Dad's estate. Ms. Gales litigation and misrepresentation strategy kept my Dad's simple estate tied up in probate for two years. Despite that extended duration Jeanne Gale and our stepsister never filed proper inventories. It appears that estate assets either hidden, ended up missing, or misappropriated. After fighting with Ms. Gale for awhile as pro se litigants, my brother and I finally found a great attorney to represent us. In the face of competent legal representation, Ms. Gale suddenly and abruptly abandoned our stepsister in the middle of litigation and left her out to dry. When it was all over Jeanne Gale made over $75,000 from her chicanery. My brother and I were out over $30,000 in legal fees and $11,000 in other related expenses. Ms. Gale repeatedly resorted to besmirching my dead father, during the court proceedings, trying to smear his honorable reputation. The real loser from Ms. Gale's self-indulgence is my stepmother. After Ms. Gale was finished with her hyper-litigant posturing, my stepmother only had a fraction of retirement and insurance left, from both my dad and stepmom's retirement funds. Ms. Gale pillaged half of that in legal fees. My stepmother has Alzheimer's and needs the money for her continuing care expenses. In my opinion, Jeanne Vatterot-Gale should be disbarred and sent to jail. I will gladly provide evidence of anything I have written if need be.

My Aunt who is a Senior, contracted services with this company to create a living trust. After paying for half, there was no responses to phone calls and the office was always closed every time she tried to go in person. Months went by and My Aunt reached out to me for help. I called and sent out an e-mail asking for info on her services (Her quick response as opposed of months not calling my Aunt back made me suspicious) This is a person who is only after the next "victim" not the next client. After explaining who I was, we made an appt. to finalize paperwork. The day of the appt. I drove 5hrs. to Yuma, she was an hour late, and she was not ready with out documents. We had to wait 2hrs for her to print the Living trust (I have a feeling she was preparing this as we waited, it does not take 2hrs to print these documents). She asked for the balance due and it was more than my Aunt had agreed on. We had to show her previous notes from her as she did not have a proper invoice. We paid the balance and she said she would file with the County and that we would receive a certified copy in the mail. 2 months went by and nothing. I called her office several times and no answer. I e-mailed several times, and no answer. I was very patient and gave her plenty of time in between texts, but nothing happen. I finally sent her a txt with some strong words telling her to act as a professional since she charged her fees as such. I told her I though she was going out of business since she is not answering calls. -I think this trigger something, because I finally got a response. I must make clear that I never used foul language or any type of insult. After she finally responded, she said to wait 2 more weeks for the paper work to arrive in the mail (I can only assume, she had not done her work and needed 2 more weeks) 2 weeks and about 6-8 communication attempts went by and nothing. I texted her again since this is the only response I ever got, and she said she can no longer talk to me because my Aunt is the client, not me. Technically, she is right. But she met me before, she communicated with me before, and she knows that I am only trying to help my Elderly Aunt with this process. When we met at her office, my Aunt gave her permission to talk to me about this. She only said this because she was being held accountable for her lack of action. Since she would not talk to me, I called the County and found out that the request had been made recently, and I was able to get a copy. Needless to say, I would never recommend this person. She charges like a professional would, but she is far from that. I later learned that you can have Living Trust created in just a few days, not 10+ months, and for a lot less $. -Lesson learned.
