On a fishing trip to Yucatan I suffered a sudden detachment of the retina in my left eye. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Sanchez Buenfil thanks to a referral. He quickly diagnosed my condition and within one 6 hour period he had arranged for me to have pre-operative blood tests and heart scan performed. Shortly thereafter, he performed outpatient surgery in his office. The doctor and his staff could not have been more skillful or professional. It is my opinion that the quality of care I received was equal to or better than what I would likely have received in the US. Dr. Buenfil communicates well in Spanish and English and is very patient in making sure everything is understood. I could not be more please with the care I received. My doctor in the US confirmed the high quality of care I received but, frankly, I was totally confident before that. My highest recommendation for Dr. Buenfil and the folks at the Retimediq Clinic in the beautiful city of Merida. read more
