San Joaquin Pest Control has played an integral role in my business. I usually order pest reports from them for when my clients are listing their homes. Edgar is awesome, and so cool to work with when ordering reports / getting reports back on time. I was finally looking for a monthly pest service for my personal home. I called, spoke with Julie in setting it up, and she had a technician call me shortly thereafter. John, the tech, called me and was able to set up an appointment first thing the next morning. He actually showed up early, which is awesome. He also made sure my front door was locked when he left. Love SJPC! read more

Outstanding service. Thank you for the service you provided me this morning. Your staff member, Ryan Castaneda, treated the interior of my home today for insect pest control. Your office committed to a window of time when scheduling the appointment. Mr. Castaneda called me early today to reconfirm the visit and provide me with a better estimate as to when he would arrive. He arrived at the time he gave me., Mr. Castaneda talked with me about my specific concerns. He was pleasant and professional. I left the house for the recommended time. Whatever product used. only a mild smell remained when I returned home. Your office staff were friendly, efficient snd helpful in scheduling this treatment. . They were also patient.. due to an ongoing renovation I had to reschedule the service twice. Thank you for the good work of the staff. All went well. I am confident my insect pest problem is now under control on based on the outstanding quality of previous pest management services I have been provided by San Joaquin Pest Control . Thank you read more

They're all right. We still have mosquitoes though. I have contacted them too many times to count to discontinue service since it isn't mosquitoes season but they ignore me and continue spraying and billing. No point in having this service off season plus it's not helping much even during mosquito season. read more

Where do I start?! Randy has been our technician servicing our home for years. He's always been professional and provided the necessary advice to combat those critters that come with seasonal changes. We have been using this group for years and have nothing but the highest praise for their professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness to customer concerns. They are an A+ group and a real asset to the valley. My sister-in-law even has their home serviced by them. They are highly recommended by our family. Randy has always been great with us! read more

Signed our business up for service through Lena, she was very friendly and said she'd have the Service Tech contact me. I was contacted by Daymond in a timely manner to set up our first service. He showed up promptly at 7:30am as scheduled and had the inside of offices sprayed before the staff arrived. He followed instructions using an odorless chemical. Upon my arrival he was knocking down the cobwebs from the front of the building. I greeted him and he was very friendly and informative. San Joaquin Pest Control met all my expectations. Thanks, Daymond for the excellent service. read more

I found out on Friday that San Joaquin Pest Control was changing drivers routes. I've had the same representative for 5 yrs. He is the face of the company, I don't know the people at the office, and don't like dealing with them. Your service people should be treated better and valued for what they do. read more

I paid for the one shot service I believe. Every other week I was getting my apartment sprayed. Prior to my last session I contacted you guys due to my roach problem seemingly getting worse or little improvement. I was informed a different poison would be used which was confirmed by the tech that came to my house. I have followed the instructions as provided to me, and my roach problem has had little improvement. I'm highly irritated. I feel I could have spent that 300 dollars on just over the counter poison and yielding the same results. I understand that living in a apartment brings about different challenges, but my neighbors state they don't have problems with roaches. If that is true, the results of the sprayings provided are beyond unsatisfactory read more

Unbelievable! First thing out of inspectors, Edgar's, mouth "are you selling"? Cha Ching tenting the house for 2 tiny holes most likely from the nails. Held hostage to close escrow. DON'T USE THEM, unethical as hell. Just a guess but I would bet all tented houses in Visalia have a San Joaquin Pest Control sign in the yard. Who tents, pumps your house full of pesticides, destroy your landscape over nail holes, not 1 termite found, but he said there maybe. Shady Unethical Unfriendly Inspection consist of a ski pole Do I even have to click on a star? Rating, minus 10 If you have been a victim of this company write a post. In response to SJ pest control. Interesting to protect new owners as they were at the house yesterday, looked at what you called termite infestation and couldn't believe the house has to tented. They don't want to move into a toxic house from fumigation for no reason. who are you really protecting in your response to me? To update: We highly recommend Dan the Termite Man. He did an actual through inspection, came in the house, attic space which San Joaquin pest did not. Due to SJ documentation that it needed to be tented we have to do it, but...we pay the fumigation sub contractor directly, $500 less than SJ who you pay and then and they pay their subcontractor, guessing a little in their pocket. So unethical, their inspectors and then you pay them for the fumigation which they contract with another company. read more

Although the pandemic prevented them from coming inside, we had no problems at all with black widows, cockroaches, or any other pest since Juan at San Joaquin Pest Control took control of a situation that had gotten out of hand. We'd find multiple Widows inside each week but after his first visit, and ever since then, it hasn't been a problem. GREAT value for service! read more

I am a customer in a year contract. I signed up with them because my mom used to use them when I was younger and I thought some brand loyalty would be cool. From the start I have had nothing but problems. For starters I have had inconsistent service calls, missing a month of sprays, and unprofessional communication. Worst of all offenses, I ordered 2 bait boxes, but only received 1. The 1 I did receive was placed and after a while in the home, I had taken a look at it. It had not been filled in a while. I noticed that I could open it. I thought that was odd because they had expressed that it was a special locked box due to the poison inside, deadly to children and pets. I thought the lock just wasn't fastened but actually the lock was busted broken. How could the serviceman leave this at my residence like this? I called to talk to the manager as I was not having a good experience at all. I explained the late or no sprays at all. I also shared my concern as a parent for the faulty bait box that my little girl, dog or cat could have gotten into. To my surprise, the manager showed no care for the poor service and no remorse for the danger that my little ones were placed in. Furthermore, no apology, only excuses that they are short staffed. I asked for some financial compensation for goods I paid for not being delivered for months, broken equipment, and a month of no service at all. He flatly said no, he would not be giving me any discount. It's not about the money but the principal. I assume this is because he knew I was locked into the year contract you have to sign on blind faith before even getting a trial of service. To cancel would cost hundreds, so I just kept the service going lol. He knew he had me, but at what cost would that be to treat a customer so poorly? This is the cost...a 1-star review, bad word of mouth, and a cancellation of service at the year's end. Could have been many years of receiving my monthly but because you couldn't admit fault and wouldn't give an inch of compensation, you lose a lot. I don't hope the company goes under but I do hope the manager is questioned and loses his job. If the owner cares at all I would be to testify of this dudes lack of management skills. Thanks for listening. read more

Awesome service never disappoints.. Daymond is awesome always checks on everything and makes sure there is no problems.. always calls before hand and checks in before being sprayed.. awesome service thanks again read more

In landscaping my backyard recently, it was discovered that I had gopher porblems. I called up San Joaquin Pest Control and talked to Jim, who is very courteous and knowledgeable. He went out to the house right away to give an estimate and exterminate the gophers if it was possible to completely eradicate them in one treatment. Although he could have just put down some bait and charged me $85, he was honest with me and told me that there were a lot of gophers in the back and he could not guarantee that one treatment would effectively kill them all, especially since the landscaper would be hydro-seeding soon, which would dilute and wash away any bait that Jim would put down. Plus, he gave me good advice that now is not a good time to hydro-seed because the weather was getting too hot, and that I should wait until fall, when it was cooler weather and the gopher problem had been fixed. The landscaper later agreed with this. What impressed me most was that instead of trying to get my business and my money at all cost, he gave me sound advice that was in my best interest, not his, and advised me that I might be better off finding other longer-term, more cost-effective ways of exterminating the gophers. It is not easy finding an honest business with integrity, especially during these difficult economic times, but it seems that this is one of those rare honest businesses. Although I haven't actually used their service to exterminate the gophers, based on my interactions with Jim, I would feel comfortable recommending and hiring him for extermination jobs in the future. read more
