Sometimes you turn a corner and suddenly you find what you have been looking for your whole life, or at least what you have been looking for to satisfy a lifelong itch. San Jaime has satisfied some deep seated seafood craving in me. Galicia is a seafood powerhouse and everywhere in Santiago there seem to be places ready to satisfy your deepest cravings for seafood. However, hidden away in this little corner of flowing cyclamens one finds a Wondrium of the Sea! Delicious seafood: barnacles, razor clams, prawns, lobster, and crab. The service is warm and hospitable. The booze is free flowing, tasty, and peculiar with a selection of local Galician liqueurs, incl. The basic white (grows hairs on your nipples), herbal (with local Galician herbs and way too easy to drink), and coffee (a shot of espresso with an alcoholic punch). Top it all off with the Banofi Banana and Caramel dessert and you are ready for your Northern Siesta. Santiago de Compostela, come for the pilgrimage but stay for the seafood. All your sins will most certainly be absolved. read more
