It reminds me of Pigment in San Diego having a baby with a quirky pier one back in the day. I picked up a cup, lotion, and a poster from 3 different stores and would've loved to bring a clock and light fixture back to the states with me.

Turns out the shop is jointly run by an interior designer, a furniture designer and an accessories designer who all love to go scrounging around for unique vintage pieces to add to their original creations. What struck me most here were the embroidered wall tapestries that have an ethnic-vintage-handmade look that I'm very into these days. They also have these wooden stools with leather woven seats that are made in-house, and can be custom made to fit any height. Definitely going to spill some cash at this place, me thinks...

It was a cool experience to see the place for Julia child shopped. Store opened in 1820. It is…read moresmall with narrow aisles, but filled with all of the cooking supplies you could ever need. It is still definitely a store for chefs and people in the food, industry rather than tourist. More tourist are going to the shop, but it doesn't really accommodate a lot of people. My daughter actually went to purchase some cooking supplies. Each piece is marked with a number You then go to a book and look up the number to see the price of the item. The staff were helpful if you ask them questions. I actually went outside after a few minutes because the store was small and crowded. The area around the store was a nice place to and people watch. It's the beginning of a park that stretches to Les Halles Mall.
