Everything was spotless, beautifully styled, and thoughtfully arranged. It completely transformed the space and instantly became the highlight of the party. And the kids were OBSESSED. From the babies all the way up to the big kids, everyone was playing on it the entire party. It was incredible to see kids of all ages enjoying it together -- it truly kept them entertained for hours. If you're planning a toddler birthday party or kids event, this is hands down the best entertainment you could have. What also meant so much to us was how incredibly understanding and accommodating Grace and her team were. We unfortunately had to reschedule the party the night before because my daughter got sick, which was so stressful as a parent hosting an event. They could not have been more gracious about it and worked with us to move everything to the following week without making it complicated at all. That level of kindness and flexibility meant the world to us. But what made the experience truly unforgettable was the care they put into everything. After paying $230 deposit, no confirmation, no out reach from them. I called, I emailed. They called me once, I missed it and they never followed up ever again. I called back and their voicemail was full. My husband called. It shouldn't be this difficult. I am now working with my credit card company trying to get the $230 back. I wanted something fun and safe for my son's first bday and thought a play yard would be a great idea. I did not plan far enough ahead for my son's first bday party and was unable to find any play yard rentals until I found Baby Quip. They were responsive and helpful and I was able to rent the largest play yard with a canopy. Kellen and his assistant came a half hour before to set up. Kellen was very friendly and answered any questions I had about the equipment. He told me they sanitize everything (they were even sanitizing as they set up). Melanie always notified me of the times they would be there to set up and breakdown. They were flexible and were willing to change the times if needed. They answered all my questions, were professional, on time and they're soft play was THE BEST. I love the Soft play created for toddlers and it's been a hit at a couple parties I have been to, but no soft plays are as good as these! The fence is secure and will not knock over like others, I've been to other parties and have seen a baby/toddlers pull up from the fencing and it falls on them creating a domino affect on the rest of the fence, BUT not San Diego soft play. I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience with San Diego Soft Play, from inquiry, booking, set up, quality of the soft play, and pickup. I currently live out of the country, but was planning my child's birthday back home where my family is. So on top of the stress of planning a party that I've never done before, I've had to do it internationally. They made the process real simple and easy to follow and were extremely professional the day of the event. Not only did the kids absolutely love the play area, but the adults were able to have a place for their kids to safely play where they could easily watch them and enjoy the rest of the party. The one thing I also really loved about San Diego Soft Play is that their set ups/options are a lot more aesthetically pleasing than most other soft play companies in the area, which is probably part of the reason for the slightly higher price tag, but I say it's fully worth it based on my experience. The one thing I would advise when considering to book is to do it asap. I think I got really lucky that they were available the weekend I needed them because the holidays were the weekend before/after (I was inquiring/booking a little over a month in advance). Also, since I didn't want to take any chances of losing out on booking the soft play I wanted, I not only made the inquiry on their website, but I followed up with a phone call, which they answered and they were able to get back to me with availability within the week. OMG! This company had a cool idea and I wanted to hire them we were literally willing to spend over $600-$700. The "book now" button isn't a book now type of calendar. I sent an inquiry in July 2021 for my sons first birthday in August and called to reschedule because my son was in the ER. I spoke with a man over the phone who said he would get back to me. I told him my fears of it being booked out in August, and I wanted to know ASAP. He. Never. Did. He never cared about any of the info I told him. I felt really stupid contacting them again. I've been consist about rescheduling. I made another inquiry and got an email back saying they sent emails an I didn't follow through. Such bullshit. Book the Soft Play with Kellen and Melanie ASAP because their play zone was the most affordable (I wouldn't use the word cheap because they had some great quality equipment) and their customer service was excellent! They were easy to communicate with via text when I was inquiring and when I decided to book. Booking is done online via Baby Quip which was super easy and convenient. The day of my event (Daughter's 1st Birthday) my mind was all over the place and Kellen took care of the setting up and breaking down of the Soft Play Zone. He was also very accommodating when it came to the time he set up and came back to pack up. Lastly, I decided to book the Mini Soft Zone (because we were next to the two playgrounds in Montevalle Park) and it was definitely spacious enough for a bunch of toddlers!
