Words seriously cannot describe Sam and Bethany. From day one it was clear as day that I knew I wanted them as my photographers for the most IMPORTANT day of my life. They are the best team that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My fiance and I did my engagement shoot with them and we went all the way to Las Vegas (Sam & Bethany's amazing idea) . Their creativity and upbeat personality made the entire weekend a blast. I went two parts of Vegas I never even knew existed. They are extremely welcoming of their clients wishes and visions of what they want their photos to look like, but will also give ideas if you ask. I knew I didn't want the traditional engagement pictures but something new and edgy and Sam knew just how to deliver that. Our engagement photos came back flawless which made it so hard to choose which ones we wanted in our engagement photo book!! I realized as soon as I walked into their studio that I would be getting more than just pretty wedding pictures, I would have amazing works of art that would be conversation pieces anytime anybody walked into our home. As soon as we started talking I began to feel at ease, which was a nice change from the various vendor meetings where you feel everyone is just trying to gouge you because they know it's such an important day. Sam and Bethany are very calm, definitely funny and just another cool couple to talk with. I can go on and on about them but a lot of reviews begin to sound the same (full of compliments) and I want to share my experience to help you make the best decision on what matters. During our engagement session, Sam and Bethany helped a lot with getting us comfortable and posing for pictures. They were especially great at getting my husband who is reserved and camera shy to loosen up. This is an important factor when deciding on photographers, another reason why reviews are so important because you can share in other's experiences. Sam and Bethany could make a bus bench the most romantic spot (if that's what you choose). Maybe it's because they are an awesome husband and wife team, their chemistry together is infectious. It really allows you to be affectionate and completely silly without being self-conscious of a camera around you. I just have to add that we were at our 2nd location and SIX HOURS into our engagement shoot when I fell into the ocean water. Knowing that we had already taken so many amazing photos they still offered to meet us on another day so that we could continue to the other locations we discussed. I felt this was extremely generous with their time and showed me how completely dedicated they were to getting the shots that we wanted. On our wedding day they worked seamlessly with all our other vendors. They were able to capture moments that I wouldn't have thought to request or details you don't think are important. Yet, looking back those are the pictures I cherish because you can't be present for everything and half the time you don't get to enjoy all of the little details you spent pain-staking hours over. They are busy photographers...for good reason they are talented and passionate. They are completely invested in making your whole wedding experience unique...like you, and there's nothing you can do but share in their enthusiasm. Hired them for our wedding photography, other than a very important "moment" missed (wanted a 'first look' photo with my husband and somehow they missed HIS reaction in the photo & only took pics of me) they were great to work with, fun & punctual. With that said, we paid EXTRA to get a yearly photoshoot. The first year we had a baby, so we used it for the newborn pics (still ended up paying more than $300 for some additional pics we wanted) The following year, they had apparently moved to Florida, but were coming back and forth to California, they said they would contact me to schedule our photoshoot and I never heard from them again, I sent several emails & messages & NOTHING, SILENCE! Not only did Samuel and Bethany take amazing pictures, but they were extremely warm and friendly. They took the time to get to know us and our personal styles, which was evident in the pictures. My husband and I recently hired Sam for our Wedding and Engagement photography and we have not been able to stop recommending him to people since!! Sam and his wife, Bethany, were not only consistently on time, patient, and courteous, but they also truly made us feel comfortable and encouraged us to have fun and enjoy our sessions. We literally did not have to do anything except pose, smile, and wait to see our pictures (some of which Sam sent to us the same day!). They did ALL of the leg work, scouting locations and bringing their own props, including a giant bouquet of balloons for us to pose with at sunset (so creative!). They even sent us pictures of several possible locations to shoot in the weeks before our session to see what we thought (which was very thoughtful and professional considering that these locations were over an hour drive away for them). And the results were absolutely stunning! We never thought we could look that good. My husband and I had our first baby girl and decided to get some pictures taken by Sam. We had taken a few with other photographers already and were always disappointed so we were reluctant to do another but decided to give it one more try. We were so pleased immediately when we arrived at the agreed upon location and he was already there, set up and ready to go. He already had planned out different locations and poses for us so we didn't have to think about it, we just followed his direction. They surprised us and brought some unique props for our pictures and really got creative. We didn't even feel like we had been taking pictures for 2 hours when we were done, we felt like we spend the day playing in a park and at the beach. They were sooo good with our baby and she was all smiles all day. All of that being said, when we went to their studio to review the pictures -- they were better than we imagined, so beautiful. We loved them all (and that never happens). They were so good at directing us during the shoot, they helped position us in flattering positions and made us feel natural, not posed, and it totally was reflected in the pictures. Sam is definitely a one of a kind photographer. Not only does he make you feel very comfortable, he also goes above and beyond to capture the perfect shot. His work is seamless, beautiful, and speedy fast! He and I worked together for a bikini shoot for my company. He hauled all of his gear down the hill and to the sand (all by himself!), set everything up in minutes, and had shot me for 3 hours to fit in about 4 or 5 looks during the beautiful sunset. He brought down his studio lighting and even thought of bringing a portable changing station for me so I wasn't flashing anyone at the beach (these things were not little)!! We went all over Little Corona Del Mar and did some videography and still shots. He was open to my suggestions and never took me out of my comfort zone. He even came in the water with me to take some surfing shots!! In the end, he provided me with a beautiful 2 minute video highlighting my new suits, a 15 second instagram video, and stunning still shots that made me look like a goddess!! And to top it off, he delivered all of these things in TWO DAYS!!!! That was incredible to me. Other photographers I have worked with take weeks to produce the final product. Overall, I am so pleased with everything he has done! He worked so hard and made me feel like a best friend throughout the entire process.
