To make the story short, we found Michael and he agreed to come from LA to SF to perform at our wedding. I have to admit, it was a good decision :) Mike and his partner took care of the sound that day starting from the ceremony music to the cocktail hour, to the life music at the dinner, and to the DJ-ing after. They were very easy to work with, very talented, and fun to have around. The night turned out great and we received a lot of compliments for Michael's wide selection of music. We were very happy with the way things worked out and hoping to have these guys again at our future family celebrations!

Oh my goodness, how is there only one review for this amazing band???!…read more My husband and I hired MJ Entertainment to play at our wedding, and it was the best decision ever. They killed it. We had such an amazing and fun reception and it is hugely because of MJ Entertainment. Initially when I was looking for live bands I was a bit skeptical because their pricing was so reasonable. I've been to weddings where live bands were basically background music, or were just really awful. So sometimes you wonder if reasonably priced people might lack in quality. So I actually spent a month listening through every song on their playlist, listening to their jam session recordings and talking with them---and then finally pulled the trigger. Michael and Mike were incredible to work with. They were responsive and patient and worked with me through every step of our wedding planning process. And when they performed that night they blew everyone away. There wasn't a person in my wedding who didn't ask me who they were. Also each person on their team are SUCH talented musicians and they all work so well together! Even a year later (because we got married last year, and I've been behind on writing vendor reviews), I still get compliments on how amazing MJ was. They truly made our wedding a night to remember. Thanks guys!

First of all, this review is very long overdue, but I'm happy to finally getting around to it…read more The Replicas provided the music for our summer client party at work (InterContinental Los Angeles) in June. Because we have a very specific clientele we had lots of requirements for the sound the party should have. Not only did they provide the exact music that our party needed to create the perfect environment, but they did so with killer vocals. Our main contact, Veronica, performed every song like a true rock-star, and created that perfect harmony (pun intended) between fun and professionalism. After the party, we received lots of positive feedback from our guests, including several requests for their contact information. To recap, if you're looking for a group that is easy to work with, flexible and professional, then I sincerely recommend The Replicas for your next party. I know they'll be present at our next client party and many more to come. I'm going to remove an invisible 1/20th of a star because I don't think she sang nearly as much Christina Aguilera as I would have liked. To be fair, that's an impossible feat. :-P

I knew from the moment I spoke with you and we connected the dots on Jersey, that this was going to be an epic musical journey with you. From our entrance song, to our special dances, you made our day beyond perfect. I loved how Billy, Bruce, Neil, Dolly, Brooks and Dunn, Journey, The Who and so many more came to our reception. The energy in that ballroom was absolutely insane. Nobody sat the entire reception and that was all thanks to you! Please know that we will be shouting you from the rooftops for every event to come! You guys are total rockstars by every definition. Again, from the very bottom of my South Jersey girl heart.... THANK YOU!!! Erin & Kris Ps) to any bride or groom out there... planning a wedding can be tricky but I promise you, if live music is your thing, the Replicas will be the BEST decision next to saying "yes" to your partner. They created a musical experience for a great price that perfectly reflected our vision. They pretty much customized EVERYTHING from the music, to the band, to the schedule. Speaking of the schedule, their knowledge and experience helped ask and answer many questions about the evening that hadn't been asked by us, our caterer, our florist, etc. Our wedding would have moved like an old desktop computer if not for Robby's efficient and informed scheduling and planning. Now on to the wedding itself. ALL we asked for was to learn a few songs by our favorite bands. For the musical experience to be funky and cool and feel totally organic. To have our a band that only played our ideal instruments (I don't like sax in rock bands, hey, I can't help it.) To have the Jewish music sound like real funk and have all the songs flow together without pause. Oh, and to do it all on our limited budget. Spotlight did it all and more. They played songs we asked for but said they didn't know. They honored our "no-play" list despite some requests by drunken guests. They jammed right through from one set to the next without a break when the schedule changed and I asked them to just keep rocking. It really was an unbelievable experience working with Robby. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Hands down, the number one comment we've received from our wedding guests was that the band was AMAZING! The band leaders Joie and Dave actually met us at the venue months in advance to help us pick the ideal location for them to play, meet the venue management and plan their own logistics. Dave and T-bone played our wedding procession music on acoustic guitars and it was so beautiful. Being the music person I am, we had to have the Beatles, so they learned 3 new songs just for our ceremony. Then for our first dance we chose a super difficult song by Louis Armstrong called "A kiss to build a dream on." I joked with my bride that the trumpet solo on our first dance would be the barometer for our wedding... and needless to say they absolutely nailed it. The process was also a lot of fun. I worked with Joie on creating a play list from a huge catalog of songs across many genres and eras that the band knows. One of the best moments of the wedding was watching my 91 year old grandmother rocking out to Sweet Emotions. It 's super obvious that they can play any type of event just given the presence that Joie had on stage. Oh, and by the way did I mention she also emceed our wedding. My bride and I couldn't be happier with The Radio Rebels and frankly wish we could have recorded their performance as it was that phenomenal. To sum up my thoughts on the band in one sentence it would be: "The Radio Rebels truly rock in every sense of the word!"

To be honest we were a bit weary when emails were not exchanged as quickly as I had imagined but we were reassured by our planner that DJs don't really need much until way closer to the wedding date. After our first Zoom call with Mac we were sure we had picked the right DJ for us. He was so energetic even though he just got back from a long trip and honestly the energy just bounces off onto you. I was a bit ashamed that I even thought that email responses were slow because when wedding time was around the corner Mac was SO responsive and even up until the day of he was readily available for any questions and last minute changes I had. Our first dance was a mix of two songs and Mac made suggestions and the mix for us fairly quickly so we had time to practice with the mix rather than hassle with swapping the songs while practicing.
