I would have preferred a thinner cut cucumber strips inside because the thick chunks kept break the sushi piece open. All the flavors were there though for the sushi and the tom kha. This place is an absolute gem. I've eaten here many times. The food is always beautifully prepared. The chef puts out truly delicious dishes. I am a fan of the Tom Yum soup. It is quite delicious and has a nice punch of heat. I've also had the sashimi salad, which is excellent, green curry with chicken, which I highly recommend. The past two times I have been here, I have ordered Thai basil chicken. It's made with ground chicken and just the most delicious basil. It's fresh and so beautifully prepared. I personally like it hot. They adjust the spice level to your preference. The staff is always very friendly. If you're in the Saint Pete area, this is by regal Cinema in Pinellas Park. My lunch companion ordered the Sex Under Ground roll (tuna, salmon, avocado, mayo, cream cheese topped with yellowtail, tobiko, and sauce), which they really liked as well. Both orders came with a side salad. I did order a Chai Tea, which the waitress forgot until I reminded her, and it was much sweeter than I expected. Aside from that small hiccup, the service was quick and friendly. Went around 2:20pm on a Monday and the place was pretty empty. The lunch menu looked interesting offering bento boxes, sushi, and Thai cuisine. I decided on the bento box of chicken pad Thai and 3 pieces of nigiri for $12.95. It comes with miso soup or salad and I chose miso soup. Hubby chose the sushi combo that came with 3 rolls: sushi bomb. D. J. and spicy tuna roll for $15.95. It also comes with miso soup or salad and he chose the salad. Very interesting I could see the steam from the miso soup but when I tasted it, it was lukewarm and tasted strange like an artificial taste. The chicken pad Thai was very disappointing as well. It literally tasted like just soy sauce and the chicken was dry. The nigiri was just ok. I expected the fish to be fresher, considering we were in Florida after all. Hubby's rolls were just ok as well. There is plenty of seating with tables and booths. Parking was very easy. First, this place is open Sunday!!! Woot! It's located in the shopping center near Cold Stone and outdoor academy. At first, this place was empty, but with us, more people trickled in. It was Superbowl Sunday. There were two huge screens to watch the game. We started with Thai tea, warm sake, tuna tataki and shrimp dumplings. All tasted really good. TL;DR: this place was great for takeout and I'm excited to order again! My fiancé and I ordered from here on Valentine's Day. We ordered through Uber Eats. Between order & delivery, it took about 45-minutes to arrive. The food came hot and happy to say was VERY delicious. I ordered the veggie Pad See Ew & spring rolls. The noodles were thinner than traditional Pad See Ew I've had, which was interesting. But the flavor was very good. I really enjoyed their spring rolls as well. My fiancé ordered their Red Curry and asked for suicidal spice and he said it wasn't overly hot. So he was a little disappointed as he expected it to be much hotter. When I came 3 years ago, this place had just opened and the service was hit or miss. 3 years later, I think they have definitely improved. Service is more attentive, although it can be somewhat slow at times. Ambiance has always been decent here. Not a bad place to come for dinner. I was actually surprised that the Wonton Noodle Soup was a solid choice. They gave good sized wontons that had a decent amount of filling instead of just being all wrapper. The pieces of Charsiu pork was solid in flavor and had good tenderness. The soup was also a good effort with decent depth of flavor. You walk into dimly lit restaurant that only had two other tables at the time. They have seating at the sushi bar and ample booth setting. Our waitress was quick to ask us about our beverage selections. We looked over the menu which for the most part an entree was 12-16 dollars which I find in the affordable dinner range. We ordered the sashimi , krab Rangoons and summer rolls. The sashimi was very good with a soft texture and no overwhelming taste just the subtly of the fish. The krab Rangoon were excellent and were Exactly what I expected to come out. The summer rolls are hard to explain but entirely worth trying. I can't remember what was in them but they are very refreshing with a crispy outside giving a satisfying crunch. The sauce that you can dip them into was a new mouth experience for me. We asked for a lot more because it's very good. It had me wondering what was in it and with every bite I would try to guess but it taste like so many things at once that are familiar and yet together it tastes entirely new. I highly recommend it. The sushi was good the bagel roll was average and good. It's not very exciting salmon and cream cheese. The other roll was very good as well with more ingredients to spice it up. My friend didn't enjoy the fried outside but I knew what to expect when sushi rolls come fried and it was delicious. I also ordered ramen which was a huge bowl. The meat wasn't very tendered and while I expect pork ramen to be fatty it was a little too fatty and tougher than I expected having had at least a hundred ramen bowls. The broth was still delicious with the noodles and they gave me both sides of the egg which is one of my favorite parts. Most places give you one side so I really appreciate the whole egg. Yes, yes and yes! Since we decided to go restaurant hopping we thought this place would be a great start to our journey. Staff greeted us with a smile as we entered the restaurant. We noticed that the place wasn't completely full but all the food we saw pass by us looked pretty good and it smelled very delicious. I've heard a couple of people talk about this place, so I called in a take-out order for lunch. For starters the menu lists a lunch special of "boneless half duck deep fried with choice of house sauce" for 11.95- I arrived and was charged $16 NBD, my issue is that I received a container of sauce and vegetables with a couple small pieces of meat, I brought the untouched order right back into the restaurant brought up the issue and she just shrugged at me. I never leave bad reviews but I'm honestly livid at that interaction. Nothing crispy or duck about it, the rice is kind of mushy and the curry sauce is lacking any sort of spice. DO NOT COME HERE Avoid this place. Me and my partner are not picky and he especially eats everything and could not eat more than 2 without having to spit them out. After a couple turns of going back and forth she finally took the monster roll off the bill but was not happy about it and was still saying it was our taste pallet not the food itself. Pretty expensive too considering that is what we left and it was $75. Im sure the Thai food is good but do not come here for sushi. read more

Tilapia sashimi. I have never been served Tilapia and I doubt even the Japanese serves this variety. I was a bit concerned if this can be eaten raw and I tried half a piece and spit it out. This location is my second "go to" for sashimi next to Ikigai in St Pete. I can't critic them too hard, it is the Chef's choice but if I get a chance again, I will request no tilapia. But for a party of seven, when dinner was coming out, fried rice first, 15 minutes later had to ask for them to bring it back to the kitchen to keep warm as no other orders were served. 10 minutes later, two Raman soups came out (with a warmed fried rice and pad thai). Still waiting on three rolls - which then cam out another 10 minutes later (though two other tables that ordered after our table got their rolls before ours). So so disappointing. Love the family, local places but will not go back to this one - and heard from others similar situations. Oh, and the manager blamed a very sweet, new waitress for the very poor service and delay in getting the food out. Seriously?! Who does that. Take responsibility as a manager and don't throw a waitress under the bus for your failed ability to serve paying guests timely. read more
