You get a prepaid card, anything from 5 euros up to 50 (may go higher, but I didn't ask), or you can leave your credit card with the staff upfront and pay at the end. They have several wine 'vending machines' that you stick the card into and get to try out the wine in various amounts. You can have a sample, half glass, or full glass. The screens will tell you how much each sample will cost. Each 'Vending Machine' is sorted into categories like bubbles, whites, reds, dessert wine, etc. It's a great way to try different wines in various regions! If you like the wine you try, you can buy the bottle to take home. They have big leather couches and chairs to hang out, sip, and relax. Ever try a $100+ bottle of wine? Now is your chance :)

For my lunch, I enjoyed Cinghiale in Umido (wild boar stew) and Verdure al Forno (baked mixed vegetables). The house red wine was fine. The restaurant itself was small but charming. This restaurant is located across from and works directly with Le Volte Enoteca Prodotti Divini (wine store). The ambience and neighborhood view is so charming and welcoming. The food we ordered was absolutely fantastic! I started out with the Bruschetta Al Pomodoro Fresco e Basílico ( Datterini tomatoes, basil, olive oil bruschetta). If I could ship these tomatoes to the US everyday I would be the happiest person in the world. We came back later and also tried the Crostone del Cantuccio ( Truffle sauce, Tuscan sausage, pecorino cheese) which was delightful and I highly recommend it as well. For our mains I had the Pappardelle Fresche Al Ragù Toscano which I have to say- is the best pasta dish I've had this whole week in Italy. NO Italian restaurant serving ragù/pappardelle in the US even comes close to the texture, flavor, and quality of this plate. I also had some of the Ossobuco Alla Chiantigiana (Chianti style braised veal) and you could feel and taste every precious hour it took to make it, and the sauce, in every bite. For dessert I tried the pannacotta which was delicious! I also tried the cheesecake which if you're coming from the US it is a VERY different texture, much more creamy, and delicious as well! If you are in the area they are open everyday all day except Wednesday! We are most likely coming back one more time this week the staff, aesthetic, and especially the food makes the restaurant a MUST DO!
