Update: I was contacted by the company (Sergio) shortly after posting my original (no-star/1-star)…read morereview, and they emailed my paperwork from the doctor after another 24 hour wait. He was very nice and eager to help me on the phone and asked me to remove my review from Yelp. He let me know that once I received the pdf I would need to then make an application online with the state, and that it would take additional time for the state to then review the paperwork for approval, prior to receiving my temporary card via email, and permanent card via mail within 90 days. I hope not to be contacted again (HINT. HINT.) Ultimately, it was a waste of my money and time because Illinois goes recreational in January 2020, so I'll probably just forego any registration. I've given them another "star" in my review since they did follow up, but the lack of communication and information was super sketchy atrocious, and I would not recommend to someone who needs direction/instruction. Most of the people in the waiting room with me were over 50, and I felt horrible for them having to suffer this process alone with this company.
***ALSO -- THEY TOOK AND KEPT MY ORIGINAL MEDICAL RECORDS, even though I offered to run next door to Jewel-Osco and make copies for them multiple times, and they said "No." This really ticked me off, and I will have to run around to get another copy of my records, so DON'T GIVE THEM UP!
Original Review: We just moved back to the states from Amsterdam, so I was hoping the process would be informative/instructive since I had no clue what to expect. I scheduled an appointment over the phone and was told it would be located in Naperville (I'm in the Loop, making the Metra/CTA/Pace trip 1:45 from my housing :^| ). I was not given an address, and was told to expect information via email. I never received any email, so I had to call and email twice before finally getting an appointment address at a different location that I was originally told, with no date or time for the appointment. I showed up randomly in the middle of the day at the strip mall location, waited two hours before finally talking to a PA for 5 minutes. I was asked to submit a urine sample and 4 blood draws. I was told I would receive my provisional card in 24-48 hours via email. It has been a week, and I have not received anything via mail or email, and the location of my blood draws is swollen and purple, spreading up my arm (another doctor's appointment). I tried to email and call to contact someone to find out what was going on, and after being transferred around to different people for 5 minutes, was told that I should expect to receive something within 10 days. Yes, I would say this is a scam, and there are probably better and more reliable companies to do this in a much closer location.
