I was referred to Samco by my son in law. I had a flat tire and after putting air in it myself I went to Samco. The gentleman that owns it was very accommodating. He not only replaced my tires but changed my oil , did my front brakes & did an inspection. He did all of that for me on the day that I bought my car to him. When he finished my car he asked me if I needed a ride so I could pick it up & of course I did. He picked me up & told me what I needed to do next and gave me a timeframe to get it done. they changed my starter in 2021, after 20k miles it's clicking again. i don't think that's normal. The receipts handwriting is so sloppy you can't read what they did with your car. read more

Took my car here and would not take it back. If you have to, make sure you get a written estimate and any replacement parts back. If they feel that you aren't happy, despite the signs on the door stating they take credit cards, they will insist you pay cash or you will not be able to leave with your vehicle. They tried charging $350 for a tune-up. While I was there, they had an elderly customer come in whose brakes they had done a week ago. The brakes were not working. The mechanic said, "oh you probably need new rotors then." I don't know any mechanic that would not check the rotors when replacing brake pads. Seems like a scam. read more

Who said there are not honest hard working people left in this world? Well Sam is the man! He gave me an appointment when two other Aamco stations were too booked to care and at one I had a 1pm appointment! This man test drove a Toyota Tundra, went through all buttons bells and whistles in and out, all electrical, transmission, engine, suspension, brake system, and gave his experience and professional eye on the whole car to advise me if the car was a safe buy for me to be on the road as a Nurse In any weather condition. What a refreshing experience. He put my car on the computer and the lift to check if any lights were turned off on me. And the state of affairs underneath. It's nice to know honest people can still attract an honest business owner in a world that is in turmoil. Thanks be to GOD, I have the sound advice I needed, and it didn't cost me a million dollars! I went into Samco today for a NYS inspection. He put the car on the lift, did not take the tire off and looked through a hole in the wheel to show me the brake pad needs changing and it is so low it will not pass inspection. I showed him paperwork from Mavis that showed the brakes were looked at in 12/2016 and they were fine. I just put new pads on 1.5 years ago and there has only been 12, 000 miles on it for a year and a half and only 1,000 since 12/2016. I had proof of the mileage from the paperwork from Mavis in 12/206 till now. I asked him to take the wheel off and he said he did not have to and showed me a metal piece through the hole and said the wheel is spinning too fast and that is also how he knows I need new pads. Well then the owner walked by and said we have no time for this. I left and went somewhere else, they took the tire off and the pads were fine. I got my inspection done, it passed and have my new sticker. At Samco, I was not listened to and they would not discuss and reason it out with me. They just discounted everything I said. I Will never go back. They are expensive, but I went because I trusted Sam and thought he was a good guy. Today,not so much. read more
