I have only been attending the studio for a few months, but the owner has been very unfriendly and rude towards me, and my friend who I brought as a guest even commented about the owners attitude. She has never been welcoming, no matter how friendly and kind I am toward her. The pilates classes are consistently the same, lacking creativity from the instructors. There are blocks and various types of equipment available, but they are never utilized! Despite the classes being waitlisted, there are instructors in the studio taking up space while paying members are unable to attend. I will not be returning to this studio.

She makes it a point to introduce herself to any new students. She always asks the class if there's anything we would like to focus on for that day, to which she immediately responds to using improv to cater to your needs. Her hands on adjustments are subtle yet engaging and allows you to deepen your practice significantly. She is a tremendous asset to Citizen Yoga. The other instructors and receptionists are also very kind and personable, they never meet a stranger.

Second, I took a Hatha class and mentioned to the teacher that I just started Ashtanga yoga last year and the studio closed. She said very sarcastically "This is not Ashtanga yoga!" Which made me feel unconformtable. Third, the class had 0 sight lines. You cannot see the teacher. Direction was very wishy washy. Fourth, I won't be coming back.

The space is really lovely, warm & welcoming, as are all the staff, front desk, owners, teachers & classmates. Experienced attentive teachers & a philosophy of 'adapt the post to your body, not the body to the pose'. I'm very happy with the instructors I've had & am constantly learning & challenging myself, which I really enjoy. This is the type of small business that has all the things you need to refresh your soul. The staff there is kind and helps you find everything you're looking for and the value is wonderful for the handmade items that you're receiving. This one is definite go to! The space was decorated with cute quotes, plants, and motivational notes. Everyone had cubbies for their shoes and other belongings. Restrooms were available. We were all provided black yoga mats for the class. Puppy yoga was so much fun! The class was set up as half of the time dedicated to yoga and the other half dedicated to the pups. Emma, our instructor, was very friendly and lead us through various beginner friendly poses. The puppies for my class were chihuahua mixes. All of the puppies were adoptable. It felt nice knowing a part of the proceeds from my ticket went to the puppies!

I can see muscle definition like never before in my legs, it's crazy. The yoga classes are great. I really enjoy the Yin class, it's my hour of mental health each week. My friend got me started on Yoga Basics. It's not necessarily an easy class but rather focuses on the right posture. As someone whose journey to Yoga started at bigger gyms this is really important to me. They take the time to explain the proper positions and if you are off they will tell you how to correct it. (After an IT injury, I've learned the importance of posture!). There are a several classes I haven't tried like Booty Bunz and gym sticks that people love. There is also tighten and tone that I like but totally kicks my butt. Zumba is fun and I recommend trying out different instructors because they all have their own take on things.
