So I would recommend finding a better clinic that is more fair with their clients. Tried to get me scheduled for 3 appointments without even checking my insurance and if it was accepted there. I am now on the hook for hundreds of dollars on something that should have been covered mostly if not all by the ACA. My appointment was preventive and had I known I'd be charged, I would have canceled and found a different doctor. Always be sure to call your insurance prior to any doctor appointments. I've learned the websites aren't always up to date and the office staff can mislead you.

I certainly felt like I got a lot of great one on one attention and they were dedicated to making sure I had five star care at all times. My second child was high risk and they took every precaution there was. I had monthly ultrasounds and any time there was a potential problem, they got me into a high risk OB to have a 3D ultrasound in less than 24 hours. If I had concerning symptoms with any of my pregnancies, I had an appointment and was seen by my doctor within a couple hours. You can't put a price on care like that. My only complaint is follow up outside of maternity care. I've had tests run and been told I'll receive a follow up call and I never do. Or a standard appointment leads to a secondary appointment and I'm told someone will call to schedule. They never do. This isn't a reflection of the amazing doctors, but rather someone behind the scenes who is dropping the ball. At this point I'm just aware that I'll need to wait a week and call to handle things myself. It's worth it to deal with such a great all-female practice.

This practice is inconsistent at best and often incompetent. Several basic items in my plan of care…read morewere missed and several staff where ill equipped to deal with basic parts of their job (e.g., telling me clearly I was experiencing an early pregnancy loss, when I clearly was due to blood work). We should not be expected to be shrinking violets when faced with incompetence in a medical practice that has such a firm grip on the market here in Ohio for something so critical. What a racket! I understand why people feel grateful to IRH when they get pregnant here. But if you look at outcomes data OR simply try to engage with this practice, you might see that this place is very far from best in class and very far from being a good patient support in an important life moment. Here are some examples - 1) 20% of the time that you call, you get to talk to a person 2) The plan of care discussed with a doctor in a 5 min visit is not revisited in subsequent visits with other clinicians (in my case, leading to a delay in initiation of IVF because of confusion about when the cycle would start) 3) You will sometimes wait for 45 minutes for an 830a appointment that will take 10 min, with no acknowledgement of the issue or attempt to improve. After experiencing several levels of dysfunction in this practice, I hope everyone interested in fertility care hears this before wasting time here -- IRH has some good people working for them but they are not the best place for care (just look at SART outcomes if you don't believe me!). I hope to spare everyone the dread and delay that is associate with dealing with this group. It is sad to see so many people sit quietly staring at their shoes in the waiting room at Rookwood - dependent on a practice that appears to care so little about being best in class. So happy for those that got pregnant here despite the clear issues with this practice, which have obviously become worse over time with Dr. A's retirement.

I had to schedule the appt through central scheduling as opposed to speaking to the office itself. They were nice enough to put me on a cancelation list and I was contacted through my UC health online quite promptly with a sooner opening. When I arrived I was really impressed by the front office staff who went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. As I was the first appt of the afternoon, I was called back right away. I checked in with a nurse as is standard and was then moved to a consultation room to talk with the Dr. When she came in it seemed she had done a decent job of reviewing my chart ahead of time. She took quite a bit of time to speak with me, never making me feel rushed or shorted and always making sure I had no further questions. My issue with this visit first of all was this Dr has a VERY strong opinion on things, some of which are very incorrect. She told me I should've grown out of my PCOS by now (which is very medically incorrect and not a thing that happens). She also recommended an IUD that would make PCOS worse not better, and with no pain management or sedation for placement which is highly disturbing. Lastly, I was later charged a TON more for the visit due to time (beware UC is really bad about this now) and she ran costly tests without my permission that were unnecessary. While it seemed like the customer service here was great, the medical things left me feeling quite angry. Cannot recommend.

Crescent Women's was my version of "Cheers" - where I could call and say "It's Marti..." and have every assurance that my needs would be handled with kindness, compassion & humor, if warranted. The only two times I was referred to a different practitioner's office was 1)when I was pregnant with our son & very high-risk (The Seton Center & Good Samaritan high-risk & NICU wards are STILL the best of the best!). 2) a fertility specialist who was as shocked as we were to learn that I was spontaneously pregnant. Our son is now 15, has my mouth & 'tude and we repeatedly remind ourselves that he's a miracle. He's also a 15 YO male - ewww! Chandra and co. have ALWAYS taken loving care of my family & me as we've gone through multiple heartbreaks and joys alike. Crescent Women's & Dr. Gravely are worth the flight back to Cincinnati! I chose this office for my OB/GYN after finding out we were pregnant on the recommendation of my…read morefamily doctor. I am so glad I did! This is a group practice, which means if you choose it as your OB/GYN you will not see only one doctor but rather cycle through them all (plus the RN) then choose one doctor as your primary for when labor begins...with the possibility that one of the other doctors may handle the delivery if your primary is not available. Initially, this type of practice did not appeal to me but now I feel like it's the best choice for our situation. Plus, you can be sure that when your doctor comes for delivery, he/she will not be exhausted from having worked a 12+ hour shift. The doctors at this practice at the time of this review are: Dr. Billock, Dr. Woeste, Dr. Kanter, Dr. Bevin, Dr. Khatia and Tina Ranson (RN). If it matters to you, Drs. Bevin and Kanter are male. We have not chosen our primary yet as we still have two doctors to see (Bevin and Khatia) but of the ones we have seen, Dr. Billock was my favorite but all of the doctors we've seen have been relaxed and professional. They answer my questions and do not seem to be in a hurry which is really great. Additionally, I like that I can call in between appointments and leave a message with a question and someone gets back with me within 24 hours. That is really helpful, especially if it's a pressing question that you're feeling nervous about. If you choose this practice, you will get a welcome bag at your first appointment with formula samples (a full size container of newborn formula, actually), magazines, a planner and other information. Also, they will not see you until you are at least 6-8 weeks along. My first appointment was at 9 weeks. They accept Anthem insurance - that is what we have - but I'm not sure about other providers. When you have your 18-20 week ultrasound/anatomy scan, it will be done on-sight. I loved that I didn't have to go to the hospital. The ultrasound quality was *amazing* - so clear and crisp! The technician was very nice and explained what we were seeing. You can have guests with you - we had the two of us, my parents, my sister and SIL. It was standing room only, but it was still nice to have people with us. We also received about 12 photos from the ultrasound which was awesome. Overall, I am very happy with my choice. The only downside I can think of is that you are going through seeing each doctor, you will have to ask them all the same questions to see who is in sync with your line of thinking in terms of birth...this is really important to help choose your primary, so take the time interview each one! They will answer your questions and don't feel silly for asking them.

I take my medical care very seriously. The individual that referred me to Dr. DELLINGER hit the nail on the head when she said "you'll stop looking once you have seen Dr. DELLINGER". This physician is knowledgeable, professional, direct, and talks to you, not at you and she listens, really listens. She's thorough and will go the extra mile to make sure you're comfortsble with medical issues/decisions. Her M.A. is incredibly competent as well. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
