Samaritan House a blessing to many people throughout the year. Families and single women come to Samaritan House out of work, without a home, living in their cars. They do not take single men. Residents can stay up to 45 days while they look for work and permanent housing. Assistance with clothing, furniture, and other items may be given as well. Bible study and other classes, such as budgeting class, are taught there regularly. Samaritan House is associated with Appalachian Outreach and Carson Newman College. read more
