There is a main lodge where meals are served - we had dinner there the first night, and then breakfast our second and third days there. Groups can stay at any of the other lodges (or "guest houses") and there are golf carts to get back to the main lodge - our tour bus dropped us off at each of our assigned guest lodges, and the Riverview staff was basically like "just grab a golf cart to get back," which was interesting. My lodge had six rooms with "Jack & Jill"-style bathrooms (aka one bathroom for each grouping of two rooms), but because it was only myself and two other ladies staying there, we each got our own bathroom. Each guest room had its own sink, and then the shared part of the bathroom included a shower and a toilet. Another of the larger lodges I visited was HUGE and had about 8 to 10 rooms, and some of my tripmates said that they each had a bathroom, a connecting room with a toilet and sink, and then a shower - so in that case, only the shower was shared. I know the men in our group had a two-story lodge, as well, so the lodges vary in terms of sizes and floors. We also had a great view of the Flint River outside our lodge. In addition, the lodges are STOCKED with both alcoholic beverages/mixers, and a packed fridge full of juices, waters, and sodas - I enjoyed the bottled water and apple juice from the fridge. All of the meals I had at the lodge were very tasty, too, including some super fluffy pancakes, and crispy bacon. Would love to visit here again although I'm not sure if I'll ever get to, unless it's another group trip. Definitely worth checking out if you are a hunter though, as I've heard they provide all of the necessary equipment, etc., for your hunting trip.

We arrived at the Albany airport around 5:30pm and were promptly greeted by one of the guides and escorted to the shuttle to the property. The drive is about 30 minutes, and at this time of day couldn't really see much of the scenery on the way. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by the remainder of the staff, including the owners, and given a some time to settle in before dinner. To my surprise, I discovered that the plantation has cabins for each of the separate hunting groups. We were lucky that we were the only group being hosted over the weekend. The first meal was a traditional southern quail dinner to get everyone in the mood for the hunt. The dining experience is amazing. Not only is the food exceptional, but the plantation has separate dining rooms to accommodate the different groups. We decided to call it an early night after the long day of traveling and to prepare for our first day of hunting. In the morning, we headed back to the lodge for breakfast. As you walk in, the kitchen staff is waiting to take your order. They offer any type or eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast, grits, etc. Following a quick meal, we meet the hunting guides and are split into pairs to hop on the Jeep and head out into the field. We were fortunate to have Andy, aka "Moss", and Reed. This is where Riverview really set itself apart from any other hunting trip I have been on. The plantation has 36 courses, or fields, to hunt on and capable of supporting 17 Jeeps a day. Having never hunted in this manner, it was a real treat. After a quick drive, we turn into the field where the guide releases 2 pointers to work the field while you crawl along in comfort on the Jeep. Once one of the dogs picks up a scent, the Jeep stops and you prepare before the guide sends in the small flushing dog to send the quails into flight. Watching the dogs all work was truly a sight to see! After 3 hours in the field, we return for lunch and a quick break before going back into the field. It's hard to put in words just how magical the whole experience is. The accommodations are fantastic, having your own private cabin just for your group. The hunting guides are extremely knowledgeable and make sure that everyone has a good time, but first and foremost is safe. The dogs are remarkable as well. They clearly love being out in the field and extremely well trained. The kitchen staff is magnificent! They can accommodate any special requests you may have and the food is spectacular. We were even able to request fried chicken for lunch, which I would highly recommend. I certainly hope to return!

She drove us to the main lodge and helped us with our luggage and our dog. She then went and got us dinner and we ate in the main lodge dinning area. We had the whole place to ourselves. Our dog(a big black lab) was allowed to run around the whole farm. He even went swimming in the pond. both Benji and Jenna are totally AMAZING hosts. A little background: we have hunted before and are both well-traveled, especially my father--we went on two African safaris, for instance. All our expectations were either met or exceeded by the fine facilities and staff at Wynfield. First of all and most importantly, the people--from the administrative staff and general manager to the cooks and guides--could not have been more gracious, personable, and accommodating from the moment we first called to the moment we left. We very much enjoyed talking with Kurt and our guide Randy, in particular. Since it was my first quail hunt, Kurt let me have a free Wynfield hat to commemorate the occasion--and they didn't charge me when I asked to buy a Wynfield coffee mug, either. The food was excellent and varied, and bottled water and soda were always on hand (and, after the afternoon hunt, beer, wine, and cocktails as well). Cold water and soda were even available--and frequently offered--while out on the hunt. Our cabin was likewise more than satisfactory, with cable TV, mini-fridge, coffee machine, toaster, central AC/heat, comfortable beds, and delightful interior decorating. It was also spacious and clean, and they provided housekeeping each day while we were out on the hunt. As for the hunting itself, it was by far the best hunting experience I have ever had. The quail are plentiful, the guides are extremely capable, and the dogs are simply amazing. They are also very flexible and accommodating when it comes to the hunt--they told me, for example, how they enabled someone paralyzed from the waist down to hunt from the jeep (there are seats out front on the jeeps for the hunters and kennels on the back for the dogs).

This was a terrible experience. My uncle & father-in-law went on a hunt here in 2022 and came back…read moreready to go again and asked me and another friend to join. We booked our hunt close to a year in advance. planned the 18-hour drive down to GA and we're looking forward to a 2-day hunt with Pig Problem. Night 1 was great. Clayton was our guide. Younger kid. Very professional. Very clear on the directions. I'd hunt every year if it was just him and he owned the business. We spent time at the range, made sure we were all on the same page, and took pigs like we had done it for years. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, night #2 was a completely different story. we had the pleasure of going out with the Owner of Pig Problem (Max) lol. To start things off, Max was close to an hour late picking us up. Although he communicated he was going to be late, there was already roughly an hour we didn't get to hunt. Then we were able to enjoy the drive with Max trashing every other pig outfitter, telling us how he bought out his competition (Hog Swat, etc) and the he told his competition "I'm better than you". He seemed extremely full of himself to say the least. We were also thrown by the statement he made "I don't know how people deer hunt and sit there all day. I could never do that. I just like killing sh*t. I'm the guy that tries to hit things crossing the road and runs over stuff on purpose." It was clear very early on that we weren't with a HUNTER or a real guide. Once we were picked up, we traveled to the first farm and scanned the field for pigs. No pigs, but then Max decided that he would load and rack the rifles there when this is typically done prior to hunting so as to stay quiet and not spook the pigs. Luckily there weren't any pigs in the first field to scare since he was now late...and unprepared. Then, stop #2 was about 45 minutes more (after he was done getting the equipment ready). Pigs located in the field. Cow farm behind them, houses to the right, pivot to the left, and deer mixed in everywhere. This was probably a spot you just skip instead of trying to thread the needle. But, we went out with him to see what we could make of it. That is when we realized....Max is a complete D*CK. The way he spoke to us, the way he grabbed us and our gear and slammed stuff around, threatening to "take us back to the hotel", we hadn't even reached the pigs to set up yet and he was throwing threats around. After that massive failure of a stalk led by Max, we proceeded back to the van. It was now approximately 11pm. After rudely snatching our equipment and putting it in the van, Max thought now would be a great time to go practice more. lol. We all thought the same thing. We each paid $500 to hunt tonight, spent time at the range yesterday with Clay and we're DIALED IN. It wasn't difficult and all 4 of us are very experienced hunters and firearm owners. Since it was already 11pm, we were robbed of our first hour, Max was super unprofessional, and now he felt it was time to use the next field as practice, it seemed to us that Max just didn't want to be there and was intentionally trying to make this miserable in hopes of us requesting to stop for the night. That exactly what we did. Lol. We told him "no thanks, just take us back to the hotel". This was the WORST outfitter I have ever been with personally. I've hunted for a long time. primarily deer and turkey. Our group has hired outfitters for almost everything imaginable including Bear, Moose, Caribou, Elk, Mule Deer, Fishing etc). Not once, has anyone been so bad that we have asked to stop. Lol. You would think the owner would be the best. The worst part is, he has a great kid working for him (Clay) but even if I could be guaranteed to get Clay, I wouldn't want Max to get another $1 of my money. We got to the hotel and Max quickly had us pay....for both nights...full price...without even an apology. It took every bit of restraint I had not to give him my opinion throughout the night which is very unlike me. It might have had something to do with the "I just like to kill sh*t" comment he made early on and that he carried a pistol and seemed to possibly have some mental problems. If it wasn't for that, all 5' 2" of him wasn't too worrisome. We all felt we had been stolen from. Not the full amount. Just the cost of the 2nd night. I would never feel entitled to a refund if there was an honest effort made, even if we didn't get anything. That's the nature of hunting. This was about the experience. We spent a large portion of the 18-hour ride home talking about how BAD this was and when we were about 3 hours away, we got an email from Max admitting fault on many levels (screenshots available to whomever would like to see). But not offering a refund for night #2, no no no...lol. He offered us 50% coupon on "A" night of hunting (but not a weekend night) and it had to be with him as the guide lol. Surrrre Max we'll take more time off, come
