This is a very nice state park. Just a caution: In addition to the some poisonous snakes there are alligators there. For bird watchers it is a winter nesting ground for Turkey Vultures. read more

Beautiful park only about 2 hours from Jacksonville. Some of the amenities include: sand volleyball court, pavilions for gatherings, a small rope off swimming area, walking/biking trails and much more. The community restrooms are very clean and include a laundry room on the backside of the building. Pets are welcome. read more

A great place to spend the afternoon with your family. There are plenty of covered shelters with picnic tables and grills. There are walking trails, two playgrounds, camp grounds and a beach pavilion. It's perfect place for those who love fishing and boating. read more

Only stayed 2 days as this was a driving break. Brought our kayaks...boat ramp/lake was great for both launching and landing. Water was clear (clean) and mostly shallow. We could mostly see the bottom and it was less than 3 ft. Lots of aquatic growth along the edges and large areas in the middle. One fisherman commented on the difficulty finding fish. We did not visit the swimming area. We camped in our RV (full hook-ups)- good water pressure and constant electricity. My husband said the restrooms were under construction but since we had FHU it didn't matter. Our site was spacious and clean and we had both a firepit and grill. Great camping area with plenty of playgrounds for younger children and wide open spaces. read more

Lots to do here if you're into the outdoors! Hiking trails, kayaking, volleyball, mini golf, fishing and baseball are just some of the outdoor activities you can enjoy in this park. There are also 3 different playgrounds and several pavilions available for rent. There is primitive camping and 46 RV sites - about which half are pull thrus. We camped on site 43. A pull thru site with full hookups. It was fairly level and had a picnic table, fire ring, grill and lantern hook. There was a huge hole that is an accident waiting to happen just outside our camper. Besides that it was a great site long enough for our 30' RV and our toad (jeep Wrangler) to fit end to end. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would camp here again! read more

I have been wanting to paddle-in and camp with my hammock here for a while. I had the chance this past Thursday afternoon to take my paddle board and hammock. When I arrived I noticed a full bag of trash next to a full trash can. I then walked to check out the out house restroom and noticed how dirty it was with spiders and cobwebs with no toilet paper, but I did find a wet soggy roll laying in the campsite in the very tall grass that has not been cut. The response I got from the main office when I complained when I was checking out was their boat has had some issues and have not had a chance to get out there and clean it up, but they sure have time to take my money !! read more

I love Georgia state parks, but this one is a disappointment. Only thing it's got going for it is its closeness to I-75. I picked up a dog poop bag full of trash just on my site! The bathrooms and laundry are really dirty. Men's motion activated sink faucets don't work. Is it the management? Are there no hosts? Does no one care? read more

We camp a weekend every month. One of our favorite state parks. Plenty of pull out though sites and after the recent renovation all sites are pull hook ups. Plenty of space between sites with lots of hard surfaces to walk, bike or golf cart. read more

Reed Bingham Sate Park.... recommended by a friend and glad we stopped. Just 5 miles off I-75 - easy drive. There are a lot of State Parks that don't accommodate big rigs but this one was easy to get in and out. We're here for 3 nights, just to relax. There are plenty of trees and spacious ground. We were in space #38, while our spot lacked good shade trees, there was plenty of room to park our 43 ft Coach. (I think we're in a 90 ft space.) The Lake is nice, there was a pontoon boat on it when we arrived. Saturday got busy with sea-doos, fishing boats and a few tubers. Great hearing people having fun!! There is a little beach across the lake. We walked around to see the Bingham Dam.... water level a little low but still had some water cascading over the top. Pretty. Heading out for a camping trip.?. .. definitely a place to stop, relax and enjoy the change of scenery. read more

Lots of wonderful trails with such a diverse ecosystem. The boardwalk along the river must be 3/4 mile long and so scenic. Lots of places to ride bikes, kayak, there's a white sand beach on the lake, many picnic tables and playgrounds for the kids to enjoy. Definitely a great place to visit a few days. The campsites are newly renovated and have dump stations right there at each site. New cable hookups and electric. Must visit. read more

Love this park, little disappointed that they closed the bathrooms for cleaning at 7:45 am, which would be a time for those just getting up needing to pee. The site was nice, had shady spots and was pretty level. Easy back in, no cable at my site, which wasn't expected as last year during spring break, my site had it. Carly called @ 4 to tell me gate code, as they close at 5. Thought early for a summer and people traveling. read more

Went to rent a kayak, not alot of info on their website. Nothing clearly advertised that there were alligators in their waters. Rented a kayak for 4 hours and spent only 1 hour in one. Looks nice! Good place for a dog to play! There aren't to many trials. Good for a light walk, I think the longest trail was approx. 2 miles. It was a pathway that had gravel and wooden walkways. If you are looking for a good hard hike this isn't your place. If you want a pretty place to run thats all flat, good place. read more

Biggest downfall to this park were the bugs. Granted, the management couldn't do anything to fix it but it's something guests might want to know. The gnats were HORRIBLE, and the roaches seem to think you want them to say hi, found one crawling on my arm at our campsite. Other than that, we went fishing a lot- very peaceful but didn't catch anything but weeds. Did see a gator or two and lots of turtles in the lake, which was pretty cool; and the staff and hosts were all quite friendly. Very quiet, peaceful place, hardly anyone else there (maybe other people knew about the gnats!). We will visit again but maybe at a different time of year with fewer bugs. read more

This is a great place to enjoy the outdoors! There is a small fee but it is very reasonable and there is a military discount. I really enjoy the walking paths/trails. They're pretty well taken care of and there a few places to look out on the river from one of the trails. If you hit every trail you can squeeze in about 7 miles or just do a big loop of the outside trails and it's about 3 miles. There are also a lot of water activities, camping, etc. next time we go I want to check out the catfish house just outside of the park on the way home! read more

My husband and I love this park! We come here a lot and walk the trails which are beautiful! We do A lot of Camping here as well! The staff and Extremely friendly and are ready to help if you need them. The host is very friendly! He is always nice to talk to! The park is well kept up and clean. And the bathrooms and showers are very nice. The park is definitely one for the books!! I make sure to tell everyone I know if you want to have a nice get away from reality and want nothing but stress free. Come here. This park definitely makes you feel apart of the family! And they have Fishing, Canoeing, Trail walks, Play grounds, Mini golf, Bike Rentals, Canoe rentals, Shows and a Beach! And at amazing prices! Only 5$ parking fee! This is definitely a family and pet friendly park! I Don't usually write reviews but these guys really deserve it! This a nice park for RV'ing. The spots are level and the connections are easy. Kudos to the park for updating to E/W and S!!!! That was a huge plus from our stay last year. It's a nice park for riding the bikes with the kids in tow. The playgrounds are a bit spider laden and dated but one thing at a time. Since its off the beaten path it's super quiet. The hosts are always very helpful. The store / ranger station has a nice assortment of tourist goodies and snacks. read more

Excallent park for RV'ing, riding bikes, hiking trails, etc.... Miles of good bike trails and boardwalks along the river are our favorite.... Nice Catfish restaurant right outside the park... Good fishing in lake!! Not a good lake for boating or tubing as it is small and shallow. Good for canoeing up river though.... Likely to see an alligator or two... Oh and gnats are bad but where in south GA can you get away from gnats??? Highly recommend this park for family time outdoors!!! read more

Do not go to Reed Bingham state park!! It has grass in the "lake" that's more like a pond. And you can not blow up tubes. We were the only person at the "lake" and no one were in the rented building or shelter and Frank told us we could not us the electricity to blow up the tube unless we rented the building. Please note just an hour before we pumped up the float and Frank was in the building while we pumped it up the first time. He walked to the back of the building and watched us the first time. I would not waste my time or money going there. Frank just wanted to show his authority to an disable veteran and his wife and children. read more
