A reasonably large surburban op-shop, not one of the best but worth a rummage once a month (or more often if you live very close by). There is a small range of furniture and home wares, enough to attract the discerning thrifter, looking to outfit their home on the cheap. Prices are cleverly a little higher than some op-shops but still markedly lower than retro furniture and fashion stores like Hype and Seek or Push Pin.
A regular shirt might go for five bucks, a nice shirt for eight to ten. Winter jackets between twenty and sixty, depending on quality. Most items are in reasonably good condition. Like a lot of Salvo's they have good stuff like coloured label sales and pensioner's days. read more
