This used to be a classic bar at the hotel but they changed it last year to make it into a Spanish bar. The look is the same but the menu is different. We decided to stop in for a drink and some dinner. They came out with iPads and, the app was simply not designed for the pad and, a bit clunky. I much prefer paper menus and, I simply don't understand the point of the tablets. It's a classic palace bar and should maintain its authenticity.
The food choices are ok with some Spanish dishes and burgers. I had the iberico pulled pork burger. The burger was quite ok but lacked a punch. The sweet potato fries were divine. I would give the food here 3.5 stars. The service was a bit slow but the bar tender did let us try some Spanish wines before we ordered a couple of glasses.
It's expensive for what it is but, that is to be excepted, considering the location of this place. There is much better Spanish food in town just a stones throw from the hotel. I will come back here again for a drink but not sure I would eat here again. The menu was not interesting enough for me to come back for a meal. read more
