In my nearly 55 years on this planet, I can say with a fair amount of certainty I've eaten quite a few dinners: Some astounding, others not-so-much.
I can say without equivocation that the dinner I had here was, in my humble opinion, the best one I have ever eaten. And for years, my absolute favorite meals were at the House of Prime Rib in San Francisco as well as Sinatra at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas!
For my starter, I ordered the "Two kinds of asparagus" with grilled peach & Almond Genovese. For the main, I ordered the 60-hour braised beef shoulder. With that, I asked the waitress for the best red wine she had: She recommended the absolutely delicious Terre della Baronia.
But before all that, the waitress appeared with an appetizer plate of breads & cold cuts. Delish!
For dessert, I ordered the Tiramisu (of course!) and a nice glass of port.
I've paid ten times the price of this meal at other restaurants and got nowhere near the level of satisfaction as I did here. The service, food, atmosphere, and price combined was pure culinary alchemy. Next time I find myself staying at the hotel, I may very well book consecutive evenings here at Trattoria Enoteca! read more
