The kayaks were big and sturdy and well taken care of. Our guide, Debbie, explained the best way to hold the paddle and move it through the water in order to maintain your arms all afternoon. The bay tends to be very shallow with some places only having 6 inches of water at any given time. Debbie guided us through the shallow water and showed us all the bay had to offer. We discovered starfish, snails, sponges, horseshoe crabs, scallops, turtles, birds, fish, a shark!! and some I'm forgetting. Debbie is unbelievably knowledgeable about the bay and we were lucky to learn from her. When we returned, we took some time to chat with Dan and feed some grass to the horse and donkey on the property. It was a relaxing and wonderful afternoon. We'll be sure to come back!

We chose to book with her and we were impressed! Our first trip was a Sunday morning, bright and early. We met Charlene at the Port St. Joe public boat ramp at 7 am and away we went. A quick boat ride and we started fishing. We caught at least 40 fish but only 3 of them were keepers. Flounder and Trout were the keepers but we caught several more kinds. Even if we had to let a lot go because of size (too small or too large), we still had plenty to keep and a ton of fun. My husband had a fun battle with a 33 inch Redfish. The trip was 4 hours and we fished in three different locations. As the week went on, we wanted to head out again so we gave Charlene a call and hit the water that Friday. That time we caught 5 keepers including Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, and Trout. Again, lots that were too small but it's a lot of fun to catch and release as well! This time my dad caught a 30 inch Redfish and really enjoyed reeling him in. Thanks, Charlene!! We really enjoyed our trips!

Me and my son where very grateful to find this guy. First we went about 30 minutes out to one of his spots and caught 12 Sheephead all of sizable quality within 30 minutes (we threw back 4-5 smaller ones) and then we went inshore for Spanish mackerel and caught 5 in about 30 minutes then we went for some trout, no luck so we moved on quickly to look for Redfish, we caught a few up in the beautiful river but it was slow so we went to try for some more Spanish. What a trip. So many experiences and he was really knowledgeable. I fish all over and he's one of the most knowledgeable Captains that I've met. He's also retired from the Navy and told me he's been fishing here his whole life. Please support our servicemen and have a great time doing it.

The trip was quite interesting, as Captain Larry speeds through the swamp land. You truly get to experience and see nature, untouched by man. It's quite the estuary. Captain Larry even stopped along the way for us to just sit and observe the surroundings and share fun facts. We got to see an eagle, an alligator and other birds during the trip.
