To say that I am appalled at Anthony's reply to my one star review is an understatement. Not only is his reply incredibly inaccurate, it is insensitive and insulting. As a professional, how/why would you ever shame/humiliate a 16 year old minor, who's hair was melted off at YOUR salon? That is so unethical and slanderous. I, as her mother and former client, have every right to review MY experience at YOUR salon for myself and on behalf of my minor child. You however, have no right to blame this negligent malpractice on her. You mention my daughter having purple, damaged hair; at it's "wits end" and using other salons. That is FALSE. She has been a client at Salon Seraphina since 2015 and her hair was VERY healthy. I saved my money for a professional appointment at your salon, to PROPERLY get her back to her blonde. I did this with TRUST. Had she or I EVER been told her hair could be damaged to the point of falling out, we would have NEVER agreed. I am also confident that a SEASONED COSMETOLOGISTS would NEVER agree a process that could cause such harsh damage. That would be IRRESPONSIBLE and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Again, we were told it would be a two step process which would cost extra. Anthony was busy with his clients and NEVER stepped over to intervene. He was not involved in anything. His description of the process and appointment was COMPLETELY inaccurate. So much so that he states my daughter had a haircut. SHE DID NOT get a HAIRCUT. As stated in my initial review of our experience, I stand by my words. Anthony's entire account is GROSSLY INACCURATE. The images I posted if her hair is exactly what her hair looked like three days after. He states that video surveillance shows her having longer hair. He fails to mention, because he doesn't know and didn't ask, that her hair continued to fall out. I posted up close images to show the severity of damage. I chose those images to protect my daughters dignity. As of date, when wet, her hair becomes mushy and elastic like. If touched, it will pull right off. I guess I can only describe it as being similar to hot melted cheese being pulled? It just pulls off. Also, her hair is normally straight, but now, when wet, it looks like it has been very tightly crimp ironed? When dry, it is brittle to the point that it crunches/breaks apart. It also sticks together as if she dumped her hair in a sticky cotton candy machine. It is truly awful. All this while continually falling out. It infuriates me that Anthony states she was only under the heated dryer with bleach on her hair for ten minutes. That is an outright lie. She was under the dryer for appx 10 min when the chemical reaction started (her hair literally SMOKING). That was the 1st step (color strip). She was quickly rinsed out and her hair was completely blowdried. It was fine. Blotchy in color but fine. It was the SECOND step (putting bleach from top to bottom) that she stayed under the heated dryer for well over 30 minutes, unattended, never checked on once. Enough time for Vanessa to finish her 1st client that she was still working on, had her 3rd client sit down for a consult, mixed her bleach and foiled her entire long hair, set up under the dryer, and by that time my daughter told her that her head was burning again. THAT IS WHEN SHE TOOK HER TO THE SINK AND REALIZED HER HAIR HAD TURNED TO MUSH. So no, absolutely 100 percent sure, she was under that heated dryer for well over 30 minutes. There was no toning or haircut. Her hair destroyed and turned green and wierd whit and yellow. I will never forget seeing that huge ball of mushy hair balled up on the side tray. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen, looked like spaghetti noodles. I left the salon because I got nauseated. I came back and Vanessa and her trainee, student were both on either side of my daughter blow drying her hair with the big round brushes. They would have to stop every now and again to get her hair out of them. Anthony, PLEASE do keep that surveillance video along with the recording of me calling THE NEXT DAY, NOT DAYS LATER, ASKING FOR A REFUND. You were rude with me, you were speaking over a hair dryer. You told me it was a big loss because Vanessa spent hours on her hair. I told you I would bring the 2 products back but you said no, you will just take that loss as well! As to when Vanessa and I spoke and messaged each other, that is the least of my concern at this point. MY main concern is helping my daughter cope with what has happened to her. This is NOT her fault. This was a huge mistake on your part. Shame on you for blaming her and SHAME ON YOU for being so unprofessional to post slander. read more

Vanessa has been cutting my hair since about 2008. She is so awesome and upbeat. No matter how busy she is, she always takes the time to make sure my hair is done right and that I am happy with it. If I tell her I want something done and she thinks it wont look right or style right for me, she is upfront about it rather than just doing it. When I moved away for about a year, I had one person cut my hair and hated it, so I would always make an appt to stop by when I was flying in. Her and her husband are very professional and clean and extremely friendly. If you are looking for a new hair stylist, check them out! I promise, you will go back again and again! read more

I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Anthony for about 10 years. He does a great job! All of the staff are professional and very friendly. People stop and ask me all the time where I get my hair done. Getting your hair cut at this salon is an experience and you will learn a lot about hair care. Vanessa also does a great job on updo's and makeup for special events.They are always willing to work you in the schedule and the prices are very reasonable. I moved to Mississippi 3 1/2 years ago. I came here with no idea of where to go for a good haircut. I'm very picky about anyone touching my hair. I came across the one and only Anthony! He and the staff are also very helpful, and give great advice for properly maintaining and styling hair. The salon itself is also very clean, and the prices are reasonable.
