    Well.... I booked a Brazilian wax, lip/chin wax, and eyelash…read moretint. The tint was new to me, and Florence assured me over the phone that it was just harmless vegetable oils. It was my first Braxilian wax too. When I arrived, I told Florence I wanted to leave a landing strip and used a finger vertically to demonstrate the placement and width, and asked to remove all else. I layed on the table and she got started. Painful, but to be expected. She peeled the same area multiple times. Then I felt the pain right in the center where the landing strip should be. Well, ok, I couldn't see what she was doing, maybe she had a technique, or maybe she forgot, in which case it was already done. She kept going and chatting and I endured it until she finished. This part was my mistake: I didn't look at what she had done. I knew my skin was bright red and tender, the bright lights were terrible and I was just ready to close my legs and move on. Plus, it's a Brazilian and she is experienced, right? We got to the eyelash tint and she let me know it would burn a bit when I opened my eyes. "Beauty is pain," she said. What?? Why didn't she tell me this over the phone when I asked about tinting? And it's a hydrogen peroxide developer (near your EYES, which she hadn't told me.) She also commented on my unusually dark chin hairs before she waxed them. Yeah, thanks for letting me know. That's why I'm here. I was ready to get out of there, so I tipped as expected (the whole thing was 170ish) and left. Later, at home, I checked out the wax job.... wtf? She left close to an inch of hair on either side of my vulva. It looked absolutely ridiculous. I've never seen a wax job like that. Plus there were small hairs all over as well, like she only removed the surface hairs. I had a sexy vacation coming up, but I sure as hell wouldn't get naked like that. I would need ANOTHER wax job to fix it, or deal with shaved stubble down there which defeats the purpose of a Brazilian. I thought about demanding a touch up or refund but I just didn't want to go back to that place. The "Brazilian" was comical. Thankfully I learned to laugh at it. My partner laughed pretty hard too. Florence, don't advertise for services you don't provide. It will save us all time, money, and frustration.

    I was lucky enough to get a last-minute appointment with Monty (who is a very nice man) to have my…read morehair cut/colored. Unfortunately, it did not come out how I was expecting. While I went in looking for a collarbone length cut with lots of piecey layers and pops of blonde, I ended up with Kelly Clarkson's 2020 skunky highlights look and only a few long layers/face framing. At the advice of a stylist friend, I contacted the salon to let them know I was unhappy with the service. I spoke with David, the receptionist, and explained this and that I was not comfortable having Monty working on my hair again. David stated the owner was out until Tues and could call me then. A few days later, David called me back stating he had a few questions. I explained what I did not like about my cut/color. From there, the call went downhill, I feel as if David and I just went in circles about the same things. He told me three times that their policy is the person who did the hair is normally who addresses any unhappy clients. He also said he spoke with Monty who thought he had understood what I had wanted and had given me that. David continued to insist there was a communication issue and tell me Monty is who fixes other salons color issues and he's great with color. I kept letting him know I understood their policy but was not comfortable seeing Monty again. I ended up getting very frustrated with the call and feeling as if the communication issues were being put on me (David did let me know this was not his intention, hence the "I feel" statements.) I ended up confirming that I would like to speak with Rachel (the salon owner) when she returned on Tuesday. Well, it's Tuesday, and David called me again. He stated that he had spoken with Rachel and that she was sorry that I did not like what I got, and she would be happy to fix it, but I would be considered a new client to her (fair enough), she would charge me (after I already spent close to $300 on services), and she had no openings through the end of the year. To be fair and give credit where it is due, David did offer to reschedule me with Monty, but I am not comfortable seeing someone who botched my hair so terribly (in my opinion). I am extremely disappointed with not only how my hair looks (I've had some bad cuts/colors before but none that I've hated so much that it's hard to look in the mirror, and hard to go anywhere without a hat on) but the customer service I received. I never got to talk with the owner so I'm unsure what was relayed to her regarding this. I will not personally be going back here, but I hope that anyone else who does is extremely detailed about exactly what it is there are looking for and instead of trusting the expert, micromanages every detail.

She carries great products and will recommend those that work best with your hair type. She really listens to what you're wanting and I always walk out feeling confident and pleased.
