Hot food

the AC maple leaf lounge in Montreal was a huge let down. I thought it would be nicer as a lot of their staff are based here. Maybe because it's domestic it's sucks. Didn't have a chance to see international one. But it's much worst than the one in Toronto in terms of food selection. Ie no muffins or cookies. Less crowded so it's a plus but washrooms were smaller. Glad I didn't pay extra for this.

This lounge is on the domestic side of YUL. Located across from gate 2 with very friendly lounge dragons. There is a cold and hot food spread setup buffet style. The food goes fast but also replenished quickly also. There are no showers here but the washrooms are very clean and well maintained.

Reasonable food, prompt service. A nice refuge to make any trip plan alterations or weather delays bearable.

They also have fruit plates, cheese plates During our visit, they had a smoked meat sandwich as well as salads, chicken nuggets or something like that. It was the chicken, and the taste was great as well, as they had some fantastic soup. Joe, the bartender was highly personable, attentive to service. I recommend if you get the chance on your flying air Canada, just stop in. You need to buy a Wonder pass or you might have access from your air-Caribbean flight. A truly great explanation for layover.

But is it? Likely due to my anal retention, we arrived at the airport three hours early for our flight back to SFO. We presumed we could spend the time here. Jamie got in, but I was sternly told that I couldn't enter until exactly two hours before the flight. Jamie was kind enough to stay with me. When we returned at the two-hour mark, there was a line 25 passengers deep waiting to enter. We made it past the same smug agent, and it was a zoo (Photo 4). The space was supposed to accommodate 259 people, but empty seats were at a premium. Hot food was depleted. We could barely scrape up a plate of stale corn chips and hummus (Photo 3). I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that we could sit down, but there was nothing relaxing about the space. RELATED - Exploring Montreal? First of all, the lounge is laid out well with different types of seating from bar stools to booths to cushioned seats. It's also kept clean of clutter. It looked spotless when I went around 8 a.m. on a Monday in July. Every table/place to sit comes with a QR code you scan to order made-to-order dishes. For breakfast, they had toasts, avocado toast, eggs, breakfast sandwiches and more. The sausage breakfast sandwich was hearty and comes with potatoes. At the bar are fruit cups, yogurt, and fresh fruit. They have an area for to-go boxes if you're in a rush. There are alcoholic drinks at the bar and several coffee machines that make lattes, etc. They also have orange and apple juice for breakfast. Many tables have magazines on them, outlets nearby, and strong wi-fi. Staff are friendly and attentive. One thing to note is that there are no restrooms inside, but there are nearby.
