I decided to try Estuary based on the Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did!!! I called after hours and left a message. Lyndsey called me back the next morning and was able to get me in due to a cancellation. The salon is private, quiet and clean. You're in there with Lyndsey alone (which was a relief for me in case I needed to scream lol). It was my first time getting a brazilian wax and I was SCARED! Lyndsey was very calming and took the time to answer all of my questions/concerns. She was quick, professional and our conversation was so good it took a lot of my attention off the fact that I was getting a brazilian. And for me, it didn't hurt anywhere near as much as I thought it would! Based on quotes I got, she is $7 more expensive than the people who do it in nail salons. But in my opinion it is WORTH the extra few dollars for the leave of customer service, professionalism, cleanliness and to be able to speak to and understand your waxer! I had read all the previous Yelp reviews and decided to give it a go. In my opinion no one has ever come close to my lady in Vegas. But I was surprised that she only books in 15 min increments, because whenever I had gotten Brazilian's in the past they took up to 45 mins to do. It turns out it all comes down to the wax. She uses strip wax for the Brazilian and I am so used to Hard wax for that area... Also I had been shaving so I knew it was going to hurt more, but she was quick and efficient and we were done in 6 mins. 6 MINUTES for a Brazilian Wax.... that is UNHEARD of... but apparently not impossible! I will be heading back, I already booked a follow up appointment for my next one. I will say as far as waxing goes, I believe it to be a matter of preference, yes I prefer hard wax to strip wax, but as far as time is concerned, she is TOPS! The ONLY place to go for a Brazilian, Lyndsey is the perfect waxer & has amazing energy to boot. Her quickness is amazing, out of the car & back in it in 10 minutes is unheard of but on top of that she is THOROUGH. I tried this little salon recently and was very pleased. My bikini wax was done in no time; I was in and out with no hassle. The owner was super responsive and answered my email about getting in that day within an hour or so - very helpful. Also awesome, in the future I can just text the salon directly and communicate that way - which I LOVE. It's the easiest way for me to book appointments. Also, the price is great for the service received. I live in Santa Barbara so I prefer to come to Ventura for treatments since it seems a little more affordable (otherwise I would never treat myself). This is my new favorite place to go. It's a very private environment, which I love. I've had many Bikini/Brazilian waxes, but this by far was the best one. I usually get nervous and uncomfortable before a Brazilian. I've been told several times that I'm difficult to wax because I have coarse hair with deep roots. I'm always afraid that it will be a painful experience and that they will leave my skin inflamed and still leave hair behind. The recorded message explained that i would receive a return phone call within 24 hours and i have not received that call. Her salon is very simple and very clean, she's quick (important when you're getting waxed), and also very thorough. You might say she's a perfectionist.
