I have been battling liver disease, losing my hair, etc so wanted to go From shoulder length to very short - like Katy Perry short, which is scary and emotional and all that but it had to be done. Christina was soooo awesome, made suggestions based on my hair loss and fine hair, color choice, etc and I was so amazingly happy with the results. I thought I would look like a boy.. lol but no... I could definitely rock the short and chic. I didn't shed a single tear because I looked, and more importantly FELT so much better. When you're going thru what I am... that is so important. So professional and supportive and consulting with me she really understood what I wanted. Very important. Now my problem is I will eventually have to go home... lol.

So, if you already have somewhat straight hair or it is just wavy this salon may work but for me, it did not!! I have naturally very curly hair and basically wasted my money!! The moment water hit my head, the curls came back, very disappointed!! No one has ever beaton Sarah in expertise or quality plus she was just like a friend to me! I miss her very much!! Also, she told me it might not work on my hair!! It works! I had it done many times and trust me, if left in long enough, it would have worked. Also, for the color, they won't tell any shades so now i have to hope someone will get it close to the same shade when i get to california! I can't come back to Michigan every couple months all the ways from California just for a touch up, that's absurd! Unless you live here or can travel 24/7, Just don't!! Again, like I said, I didn't want to update but i feel it was right to be honest even if the experience was a bad one because it might help someone else save their hard earned money! These ladies are nice but i don't go to a salon for someone to just be nice to me, I go to get a job done so my auditions and headshots can look amazing!! I arrived on time, only to be told to stand to the side while she continued working on other clients. I waited about 15 minutes before she even came over to me. I explained that I was a bridesmaid and needed to be finished by 10:00 for my makeup appointment. She literally laughed and told me, "That's not going to happen. You won't be out until 10:45." This was for a simple low ponytail with light waves that I had already shown her. At 9:35, two assistants started curling my hair while Antonette continued working on her THIRD client since I had arrived for my 9:00 appointment. I repeatedly asked when I would actually be able to see Antonette, and nobody could give me an answer. By this point I was extremely upset and honestly on the verge of tears. At 9:55, her assistant finally asked if I could come back later to actually have my hair done. Obviously, I said no because I had a wedding to be in and a strict timeline that I had communicated from the beginning. I took off my cape and left without receiving the service I had booked. The worst part was that Antonette didn't apologize, acknowledge what happened, or even say anything as I left. She simply gave me a snarky look. I am not new to getting my hair or makeup professionally done. I understand that appointments can occasionally run behind, unexpected things happen, and sometimes a stylist needs extra time with a client. That is not what happened here. There was no meaningful communication, no attempt to accommodate me, no apology, and seemingly no respect for my time whatsoever. If you know you cannot accommodate a 9:00 AM appointment, then DON'T BOOK A 9:00 AM APPOINTMENT. And if circumstances change, I would hope some would have the basic professionalism to communicate that with your client BEFORE they spend their morning sitting around waiting. I booked this appointment a year in advance because I trusted that my appointment would be honored. Instead, I arrived on time and was treated like an inconvenience while I watched other clients get serviced before me. I ultimately left without receiving the service I had booked. The entire experience was incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly humiliating. I would never book with Antonette again, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend her to anyone who values punctuality, communication, or basic respect for their client's time.
