Lauren is exceptional massage therapist and the only person I will ever let work on me to this day. I will continually send my clients there knowing they are getting hands down the best rated massage therapist in Richmond. Who knows I may even get waxed at some point as well for bikini season ahead. Lol. All jokes aside, come to this spot for any type of treatment and this place will absolutely make you feel like you are the only person in the room for that day.

You lay on a warm table, cozy and covered in a blanket while Tanya cleans, massages and moisturizes your scalp. It was a dream! I also had a long massage (relaxation ritual) which was perfect pressure and Monica was so pleasant and joyful. The check in is small but she's very sweet. The shop is also small but offers everything you need to take the experience home. I was there with a friend and we had a nice afternoon, never really saw other people and had plenty of space to read, relax and process.

I discovered the Spa at Marriott Griffin Gate has recently added this to their service list. It's called the Keravive scalp treatment and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It started with a scalp analysis where the provider showed me a picture of my scalp and hair follicles. What followed was a series of steps where different serums were applied to the scalp and were massaged into it, which is supposed to encourage hair growth. While the hair is rinsed, the provider massaged my shoulders and arms. The treatment lasted about an hour and I found myself drifting off several times throughout because I was so relaxed. I loved my experience at the spa and would encourage others to try this new treatment, especially us older ladies and gentlemen who are suffering with thinning hair.

A quick look at Yelp (and Google) identified "Peace be Still Massage & Wellness". Their website is informative, and I requested a day and time via their site. Pretty soon, I received a response and my requested time was taken (Not unexpected for a request the next day). Karah offered another time that worked well for me. The studio was very easy to find, just outside of Berea "Across the Highway". A very nicely appointed room. Karah and I chatted about wants and expectations. She was very clear and asked the right clarifying questions. She provided a wonderful massage, Identified the issues that had been bothering me, and I walked out an hour later feeling netter than I have in months. I've been getting professional massages for about 30 years, and I'd easily rate Karah's massage in the top 3 or 4 I've gotten.

I felt so welcomed from the start. Loved that the ladies walked around barefoot and comfortable. Not an ounce of stuffiness, which is impossible as it smells so good in the building. I booked a massage and facial bundle for a very economical price. First up the massage by Alexis she knew her stuff. She asked questions and concentrated her effort on the brick in my left shoulder blade. For weeks I've been popping into places for chair massages but to no avail. However Alexis has fingers of magic I would have booked another hour. I've been to many places including Thailand and this is only the 2nd massage received that would compare. I had the honor of having the facial done by none other than the owner Ashley. It's been a few years since stepping thru Mario Badescu for a facial monthly however I would say the facial here was just as top notch. The next time I touch down here early this will be my first stop before the Bourbon!

The person at the check in desk has never been friendly at all. With a spa experience that's what you hope for. 2. There's a little "help yourself" coffee and tea bar but it's never offered before or after the massage, and it's quite awkward when no one introduces that as an option especially because it could be when you first walk in and check in. Other than that, it's a clean facility, and Tiffany has been great.
