We heard of Dr G from many strong recommendations from others. The family felt the evaluation was very thorough. Dr had the patient come over 4 visits to be thoroughly evaluated. The family felt unsure what the problem was because the signs were very subtle but by the end of the evaluation the family was empowered with a plan to help their loved one with a clearer understanding of where the deficits were. I have strong confidence in Dr Gorman!!! Great physician.

1 Star I am…read moreextremely disappointed with my experience at Dr. Patrick Gorman's office, particularly with the way I was treated by the staff. Rebecca at the front desk was extremely rude and condescending toward me. The way she spoke to me made me feel as though she thought I was stupid. I was simply trying to understand the services and charges, and I did not deserve to be spoken to that way. At one point, I had my insurance representative on a three-way call with Rebecca so that we could try to resolve the billing issue together. During that call, even the insurance representative commented to me about how rude Rebecca was being toward me. This was not simply a misunderstanding on my part--another person was present on the call and heard how I was being spoken to. I also came to the office specifically to speak with the manager, Tommy, about my concerns. Instead of providing a private place for this conversation, Tommy spoke with me in the hallway, where there are other doctors' offices and people nearby. I was very uncomfortable discussing matters involving my care and billing in an area where other people could potentially hear the conversation. I am also extremely frustrated and confused about the billing. I was told there was a $250 charge related to an authorization, and even though my insurance paid for the covered services, I am now being asked to pay an additional $193.32 related to a doctor coming to my home and completing/scoring the assessment. I wanted a clear explanation of exactly what these charges were for and why I was responsible for them. Patients should be treated with respect. They should be able to ask questions about their bills without being spoken down to, and conversations involving their care and billing should be handled professionally and with appropriate privacy. Based on my personal experience with Rebecca, Tommy, and the way my concerns were handled, I am extremely disappointed with this office.

I was in such despair and as a result, not only my mental health but also my physical health was taking a deep dive. Neytiri is VERY intuitive and able to dial in using different techniques. She has an AH-Mazing array of "tools" in her basket. The primary therapy we used for my situation was EMDR, it was life-changing. She tends to know which direction to go in each session, and she kept me on task, redirecting rather than allowing for diversion and delay. She has a gentle way of bringing about the truth and helping me to understand the root of the issues I was having and the mental/physical correlation to specific life events. Neytiri is down-to-earth, honest, compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled. She offers ideas /solutions on how to best work thru issues we uncovered. In the end, it was always my choice how to proceed. She doesn't back down, yet she is gentle in her approach. She keeps it real. She is honest about herself and doesn't think she is, or portray herself as super human. Although I feel she has super powers! I do appreciate her and her unique skill set. I have seen 5 different therapists in my adult life, and never have I felt so accomplished and empowered thru any other therapy. She is simply the BEST! If you are looking for a life changing therapist, go ahead and interview her for your needs Thanks so very much Neytiri.

In my early years as a therapist, she showed me the ropes about how to really connect to a client's process, and I used this time to glean from her creativity and unique ability to think outside the box. Over the years, I have consulted with Melissa countless times, and her ability to cut straight to the core of the matter never ceases to amaze me. She utilizes any number of a hundred different techniques, engages her spiritual self, and even sets up her office to appeal to the five senses. She encourages paying special attention to the what the body is communicating to her clients, she helps her clients access deep places in the soul, and she provides a safe place to land during these scary conversations. She is, in one word, amazing. I have absolutely no hesitations in recommending Melissa. If you want to be surprised by the deep beauty within, find a way to spend time with her. If you have a complex problem or situation you're contending with, you will not find a better co-sojourner for the truth than Melissa. The office is always quick to return phone calls and give reminder calls in advance of your appointment. In general, the environment is okay, neutral at least. As a full time grad student and almost full time worker, it is hard enough fitting the appointment in, I really don't want to factor in another 1-2 hours for travel and wait time.

What we hoped would be a supportive and professional environment ultimately became an experience marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, and abandonment at a deeply vulnerable time. After raising serious concerns and giving the practice multiple chances to respond and handle the situation with care and integrity, I was met with silence, delay, and zero effort to acknowledge or repair the rupture. There was minimal coordination with my individual therapist despite multiple requests, reflecting a concerning lack of collaboration. Also, documentation practices are questionable, Michelle told me, herself that she doesn't write notes, raising real concerns about clinical and ethical standards. Therapy clients who are brave and vulnerable enough to bring complex work to the table deserve safe, consistent, transparent and responsible care. I'm sharing this not out of spite, but to help others make informed decisions. If you are navigating emotionally complex issues, I strongly recommend seeking support from a practice equipped to handle those needs with care and integrity which this practice unfortunately is not.

What I found was not therapy -- it was a circus of control, shame, and manipulation dressed up as treatment. Choices is a relic from another era, running on outdated theories and authoritarian "techniques" that do more harm than good. Their idea of healing is to break people down, shame them, and call it progress. The staff, led by Beth, mistake intimidation for insight and obedience for growth. What's worse, Beth cultivates a loyal inner circle of former patients -- people who end up defending and perpetuating the same damaging environment they once suffered under. I recognize some of their names among the glowing reviews here. Those reviews aren't proof of success; they're proof of how effective her manipulation is. She uses dependency, guilt, and even financial leverage to keep people under her thumb. Over the years, there have been multiple complaints to the Florida licensing board -- and for good reason. Choices shouldn't be in business. Their practices are unethical, outdated, and emotionally abusive. If you're struggling with sex addiction or any personal issue, do not go to Choices Counseling Center. You deserve compassion, professionalism, and actual therapy -- not trauma disguised as help.
