Consequently here we are! I came, I tried it, I came back home... and here I am... The staff are very friendly, and very welcoming when you come in. After ordering, for the first time I was asked if I wanted to add any extra toppings. Seriously, a lot of places offer this service, but rarely are you ever asked about it. You may think it's a small thing, but it stuck in my mind. The wait time felt a little long, but I did go at a busy time. When the pizza arrived it was amazing. The drive home was a hard one, and biting into the pizza, the first thing I noticed was the dough. What did they do to the dough? It's magnificent! Maybe they did nothing, maybe it was supplied to them that way. Either way, it was really good. The toppings were plentiful and the cheese was nice. For those who haven't experienced an AB, it's basically a tray of chips with yiros meat on top and then sauce. Hollywood BBQ Chicken have all the usual staples offered by a chicken shop. You have chicken rolls, hot packs, quarter chickens and chips. You know the score by now. It's their take on the AB that sets them apart. The initial formula is the same: chips, with yiros meat and sauces. The main differences are in the meat and sauces. The meat just tastes different. It's hard to explain, but it's very pleasant. The sauces are strong and punchy and leave a nice aftertaste. There's not much special about the rest of the menu. It's the same sort of stuff you'd get anywhere, which isn't a bad thing! Don't get me wrong! The ABs however are definitely worth the try!
