Dr. Elizabeth Shadigian and the staff at WomanSafeHealth are wonderful, caring, attentive,…read moreresponsive, skilled, knowledgeable and friendly--everything you could want in a physician and their staff. Dr. Shadigian is one of the best physicians and women I have ever known and I would highly recommend her and WomanSafeHealth to anyone. Seriously, 5 stars is not high enough a rating. I've been a patient of Dr. Shadigian's for several years now. I was introduced to Dr. Shadigian by my partner several years ago. My partner did extensive research into doctors in area when she was searching for a primary care doctor/GYN and finally decided to visit Dr. Shadigian for an annual physical/GYN exam. She had a great experience, and recommended that I see her. I am so glad I did. Dr. Shadigian has greatly increased my health and quality of life the last several years. It should say it all that I drive half-way across the country (NY - MI) at least once each year to have Dr. Shadigian conduct my annual physical/GYN exam, she's that great. We also stay in touch with phone appointments and tests to adjust medications in between, as necessary. Dr. Shadigian is committed to ensuring her patients are not only healthy, but happy. She really cares about patient comfort and overall wellness. To cite only one recent example out of many, I called her office on a holiday with a minor/irritating health issue, and asked if she could please consult with me and call in a prescription if necessary to alleviate my discomfort. She was super busy that day but made time to call me back that evening (9 p.m. on a holiday--how many doctors will do that for you?), discuss the issue, and call in the prescription for me before the pharmacy closed. The WomanSafeHealth facility itself is also wonderful, comfortable, clean, safe and inviting. It's designed to create an atmosphere conducive to healing and reduce stress, decorated with beautiful light wood, calming decor (e.g. zen rock garden), free WiFi, and a fridge that is always stocked with healthy and delicious foods. It's like no other physician's office I've been to, more like a nice day spa than a traditional "doctor's office." In sum, I highly recommend Dr. Shadigian and WomanSafeHealth. 5 stars for sure.

I cannot say enough good things about both WomanSafe Health and Dr. Shadigian. Dr. Shadigian is a highly competent physician, but more importantly, exceedingly talented at comforting patients and making sure the entire appointment allows for individual patient autonomy. If it is any indication of my dedication to the practice--I moved to the east coast from Ann Arbor and am still returning for annual exams. Cannot recommend enough!

Bonnie Bayne isn't a jerk. She rocks! I've been seeing her for gynecological exams over the past four years. She's fast, friendly, answers all of my questions, and has a delightful bedside manner, all of which are very important when you're laying in that most awkward and uncomfortable position. She also explains each procedure as she's doing it which I greatly appreciate. The exam is unpleasant enough. No need for unpleasant surprises She gave me a stern warning today about smoking even occasional cigarettes while I am on birth control. The really cool part of it was that she didn't just give me the "smoking is hazardous to your health" talk. Instead, her message was "quit smoking or just use condoms instead." I *loved* that. Dr. Bayne is the rare physician who respects your intelligence. The fact that she's really nice is just icing on the cake.

I now have excellent health insurance that is accepted all over town but I'll never switch as long as I can avoid it. Dr. Bayne is a completely excellent doctor in every way. She is a very good listener and communicator, and she takes the time to understand what I'm saying and to make sure I understand her advice and the medical options she presents. I usually have quite a few questions, and she is enthusiastic about answering them, as well as very knowledgeable. I also appreciate how Dr. Bayne will usually present multiple options for treating a condition or problem, and will give an honest recommendation about which approach she thinks is best. I almost always agree with her opinions on treatment options, but I am confident she would be respectful and easy to work with if I ever wanted to pursue a different approach. If you're a student in need of a good doctor, ask for Dr. Bayne. If you're not a student and you need to find a good local doctor, I recommend the same!

(Obviously this review is for other ladies. Men, go away)…read more I have been going to this office since I was about 16 years old, seeing the same OB/GYN the whole time (Dr. Hrzencik). Obviously in the past it was for normal female wellness appointments, to get birth control, etc. She is very kind, understanding and knowledgeable. I opted to get an IUD about 6 years ago instead of continuing birth control pills (I never can remember to take those things, lol). And while I was warned it would hurt like no pain I had ever felt, I was totally unprepared for the firey hot poked that my cervix dilating feels like. An MA had to come in just to hold my hand. Recently, my husband and I have been seeing her for OB appointments (yay!), but we have had to go through the less than thrilling process of having a miscarriage in the beginning of the second trimester. It is not a fun process by any means, but Dr. H and her staff have made me feel welcome to call with any questions or concerns, and have been calling to double check on me, because it really is a crappy situation. They were very kind and thoughtful when they had to tell us, and have made sure to give us all the information they can about our situation. I know they're have our best interests at heart and are not happy when they have to deliver news like that. tl;dr Dr. H is wonderful and very kind, even when she has to give you bad news. I've never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome here, and always felt like I could call with any questions, good or bad.

Gynecology wise - loved Dr Lefkowitz. 5 stars. Obstetrics…read morewise... RUN. It has been 14 months after my second baby with this OB group (should've learned after the first but was naive) and I cannot recommend them to anyone who wants a truly natural birth. To note, I know 2 other women who used them for their pregnancies and they both were pressured into inductions for EVERY pregnancy. First pregnancy in 2021/22: zero issues at all until 39 wk appt with "Dr" Foley and suddenly had a shockingly high BP per the MA (Foley (or the MA) did not take again), which I know can happen but I was feeling so good so was extra surprised. She comes in and tells me to go to ER right now with basically no explanation/etc. They had no idea of my birth plan (no one asked, I felt no need to discuss), which was no interventions/no meds/etc. So, sobbing HARD, drove myself to RO, very stressed. Was in triage for hours with zero high BPs despite massive stress. Labs/US were good. Dr. Wein... still tried to induce! We said no and asked to DC. Got commended by the triage nurse (which made us feel that it's common practice and most give in) and she recommended trying the birth center (which I had considered but as nervous so didn't even bring up to the Drs). So I brought up to Dr. Paladino at my f/u and she agreed and it happened and everything was beautiful. Got pregnant again and considered going a different route but really liked Dr. L so felt weird doing something different (and wanted to use insurance). So landed there again. Everything was fine until my 30 wk appt w/ Dr Ohm when I asked about the actual process of going to the birth center (since it was so sudden last time); I was aware of the requirements such as a low risk pregnancy. After that, supposedly my BPs were out of control and pre-eclampsia levels high. Which, again, I know can happen. But, my husband and I are PTs and are very confident in taking BPs and took my BP literally HUNDREDS of times in the subsequent wks at all times of day with multiple machines, manually and automatically, and not once got a reading remotely close. Labs were fine also (obviously agreed to them, which was fine). BPPs were fine - had one that the baby "failed" but was sent to triage for a repeat and she passed and hey, my BPs there were completely fine for those several hours. At my 39 wk appt, which I was forced again to see "Dr" Foley, obviously my BP was "high" and also no one could supposedly find the baby's HR on the NST til "Dr" came in and found it right away but supposedly there were decels so again, rudely and zero compassion, told me to go to triage. AND WOULDN'T YOU KNOW THAT HOURS OF MONITORING THERE SHOWED NO HIGH BPs OR DECELS OR ANY ISSUE. Despite feeling very confident in holding my ground, I ultimately fired this group and went under the care of the hospital OBs/midwives and still gave into induction (sadly). And wouldn't you know, not a single high BP or issue with the baby during the stupid induction process through delivery/postpartum/discharge. And by the way, somewhere around 36-37 wks at an appt with Dr. Paladino, when I told her I was considering going elsewhere after my last pregnancy experience, she told me good luck finding someone to take you at this point -- I did reach out to a midwife group and they were going to take me (but we didn't want to spend the money at that point since I had a million OOP appts by then since my appts were no longer covered by BCBS since they weren't routine and I had to have extra appts) and funny, since I ended up working with the "hospital group". I obviously am not an OB but after my last experience with them, I did SOOO much research about pregnancy/complications/etc (on top of understanding general medical stuff anyway due to having a DPT) so felt pretty confident in making decisions but still ended up with massive trauma. Please... do not use this group for OB services unless you don't care about induction and interventions.

I highly recommend this office if you are looking for a solid Gynecologist. After searching high…read moreand low, I eventually found the exceptional Dr. Lisa Jeffries, MD. As we all know it is not easy to find a good doctor who is competent and informed about current healthcare trends. Dr. Jeffries checks all of these boxes and then some. She has excellent bedside manners, carefully listens to her patients and is kind, methodical and gives consultative style recommendations that are caring and empathetic. She makes you feel warm and cared for and not like a number. The IHA office is a newer building with updated furnishings that are modern and calming. The exam rooms are super clean and designed with good quality furniture and clothing for patients which I appreciate. Other doctor's offices provide those cheap paper gowns for their patients but not this this office, they provide nice cotton gowns that make you feel HUMAN. The only con I have about IHA are the front desk employees and one of the physician assistants (PA) who escorted me to see the doctor. This individual had the personality of a rock. She was not friendly and unprofessional. I was completing my paperwork in the exam room and left briefly to use the restroom before meeting with the doctor. While I was gone the PA took my incomplete paperwork without telling me. I returned to the room in disbelief that I could not find my paperwork. When the PA later stopped by, I asked her if she took my paperwork and she rudely said yes. I explained to her that I was not finished and that she should of let me know that she took it. Similar to doctors bedside manners, PAs need the same standard when dealing with patients. Despite those two cons, overall I am thrilled with my new doctor and look forward to her care during my future visits.

If you have had a really terrible experience with another OB/GYN specialist I do recommend visiting with one of them. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is due to issues with other staff. After being a patient here for a few years I have had an abnormal amount of administrative issues such as: - Being overcharged for visits - Appointments canceled on short notice several times - Being scheduled with doctors that are out of network - Someone forgot to check me in until I asked about the wait time 15-20 minutes later - Appointment billed incorrectly to insurance because of miscommunication during scheduling When something needs to be fixed (like the overpayment) it's not easy to get in touch with someone who can help. I have been told that they'll call back with updates, but generally, I am the one who has to follow up. I can't say if that's typical for all of their patients but this is the only office I have ever had these types of issues with. It makes me dread coming in because I'm bracing for some kind of error that I'm going to have to battle to fix. All of that said, the staff has been kind while these issues were resolved. It's just a huge hurdle to have to jump through in the first place. If you visit make sure you know what your insurance covers, triple-check that the doctors are in-network (the staff isn't reliably knowledgable about this), and be as clear as possible about what you want to schedule. If you do all of that, you hopefully can avoid the experiences I have had.
