Dr Wendy fit us in and helped Sadie through her last moments with such kindness and respect for a beautiful spirit. She made sure that Sadie was comfortable & peaceful and I can't relate how relieved we were to see her resting quietly.

Finding an emergency vet on Christmas Day is difficult at best in familiar surroundings let alone in a small town in a different part of the state. Dr Jo Answered the phone and had us bring Oscar in. She was simply amazing. We ended up having to put Oscar down that day. Dr Jo extended Oscar's life long enough so the owners could face time with him and say their goodbyes. I've had to do some pretty difficult things in my life and this certainly ranks right up there at the top. Dr Jo made us feel as if we had been part of her practice all along. She worked on Oscar until it was clear to us and the owners that he wasn't going to make it. She then made Oscar comfortable until he passed. Then she handled the final arrangements - taking a paw print, cremation, getting the ashes to the owner as if Oscar had been her own. Hands down 5 stars

I've never seen a medical practice so shabby, nor a doctor so slipshod in his work. To begin with,…read morethe floor was so badly worn that the pattern of the flooring was worn down to white in a wide path from the exam room door to the exam table. The furniture was scuffed and cracked. Where the cheaply plastered wall met the floor was cracked and grungy. Dr. Ryff looked more like a rancher than a doctor. he wouldn't have washed up if I hadn't asked, and his response was to give his hands a couple of quick sprays with disinfectant and then a quick wipe with paper towels. No soap, no water, no scrubbing, no rinsing. (And no mask.) He gave my cat a superficial once-over, pronounced her OK, and then gave her two shots (FVRCP and rabies). He didn't want the stool samples I'd brought in, and threw them away. Instead, after a quick glance at her butt he pronounced her worm-free. He also repeatedly insisted that my cat was a Maine Coon. This despite the fact that she's far too small, weighs far too little, and has fur that's only about half as long as a Maine Coon's. I told him that she's a domestic shorthair, but he insisted otherwise. The man clearly knows little about cats. He looked as if he was more at home with his arm up a cow's rear end. He weighed her in her carrier and then subtracted two pounds without weighing the carrier. That turned out to be wrong, as I found out when I got home and weighed the carrier separately: it was 2.6 pounds, so he had overestimated my cat's weight by more than half a pound. I was glad to get out of there, and I won't be going back.

What could improve here at this office is a flat face Dog anesthesia protocol. I took my very…read moreexpensive , 7 yr old beautiful grand champion French bulldog in to see about her eye which was half shut. She had apparently scratched her eyeball on something in the yard or in the house. I took her in to see Kit and he said she had a scratch on her eyeball and he would have to do surgery on it or she would lose her eyesight in that eye. As I believed him, I told him OK let's do it not knowing he had no idea how to anesthetitize a flat face dog. There's a protocol for Brachia... face dogs because they don't breathe as easily as regular snout nosed dogs. She was over anesthetized and he sent me home with her still asleep because it was closing time. I got her home and a few minutes later she died. I was so crushed and cried and cried. She was the perfect dog and so dear to us. There is a preferred protocol for this so if you have a flat faced dog take them to Colorado Veterinary Specialty Group ER open 24/7 near County Line Road and Broadway in Denver.

They are now doing business under the name Collegiate Peaks Veterinary with Dr.Pierce…read more On January 2nd we took our perfectly healthy cat into Dr.Pierce for a routine teeth cleaning. What happened next is nothing short of horror. The tech giving the anesthesia screwed and killed our cat. I can't put into words how much grief we have and how much we miss our fuzzy family member. Everyday we wake up and he's not here greeting us with his snuggles and silliness and everyday we are reminded of this senseless mistake done at this clinic. What's even more frustrating is there is little a person can do to get any justice other than leave a lousy review. It's business as usual for the clinic with no consequences. When we said our goodbyes to our cat before his cremation Dr.Pierce's arrogance was over the top when he came out to my car to confront us about warning anyone not too use his clinic. Still saying he's the best vet around. He was hesitant to fire the vet tech and to this day I am not sure if the tech is still there but not. This situation just left us feeling like he cares much more about his reputation and making money than he did about killing our cat. I just hope this never happens again in his clinic because I can't tell you how much it hurts to put your trust into a vet and then literally have them kill your pet. To be blindsided by the sudden death of our pet is a heartache we shouldn't have had to be put through and it's unforgivable.

Leads me to believe he's prescribing expensive medications to ensure his recurring revenue stream at the cost of trusting patrons. After research I found that he recommended the wrong dose for my dogs size anyway!! I've actually had more caring interactions from the mega pet company than I did at his office. Was our first time meeting them and they did not even introduce themselves. We won't be back!
