Here, they do all the right things and serve tons and tons of meats. They have it all, so good in fact, Diego Maradona himself once dined here when he was alive. The service was immaculate, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, we happened to walk in right during a slow day, and it was perfect. The ambiance is very cozy, lots of paintings of prominent Argentine figures such as Carlos Gardel and of course Diegito. I highly recommend coming to dine here, the food is well made and the wine selection is very nice as well (We opted for Coca W/ Fernet since we were on our way to watch Futbol)

The cafe con leche was pretty average, even though it was served in a very cute cup. I got a half portion of toast too, which I totally didn't need- it doesn't say it on the menu, but the scrambled eggs come with two big pieces of buttery toast! The service was slow as most other reviews said... But the cute ambience made up for it in my eyes :)

La Crespo is a charming little restaurant with a pleasant ambiance and good service. C and I came…read morespecifically because I have been yearning for a pastrami sandwich for some time. I insisted (because I was starving) that we each order a sandwich, but C advocated for ordering one and sharing. I acquiesced and was glad we did. (We're not big eaters and are always in search of quality instead of quantity.) The sandwich that was served was splendid. Just what I was hoping for! 200 grams of thinly sliced pastrami with pickles and mustard. Of course, this is Buenos Aires, so everything is relatively less strong in flavor that in the U.S. In Chicago, pastrami has a distinct pepper flavor and crust; this was softer, but with outstanding flavor. I'm in love and waiting for an excuse to return. Food: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Service: 5 stars

The pletzlach bread they were served on was perfect - soft center and crisp outside. The BBQ was not very sweet which I prefer and the pork was very tender and easy to eat in sandwich. I had a hard time deciding which sandwich I liked best but I think I would go with the pastrami - very flavorful and the meat was tender. The pickles were a great compliment to the meat. The staff was very friendly and the ambience while nothing special was comfortable.

The sandwiches are made to order and the line can be a bit intimidating or overwhelming, but they are so quick, you will be in and out in less than 10 minutes. They have a wide array of sandwiches but the milanesa is the way to go. You get a big portioned sandwich, on fresh bread, we got two big sandwiches with all of the recommended fixings. We got two drinks and two waters - all for less than 13 USD. We couldn't believe it. This meal in the states would've easily been $35 and the quality would not have been as good. Most people here take their sandwiches to go, but they have a little sitting area upstairs if you want to eat it fresh there! Sandwiches were so big I could not finish mine. One of our favorite sandwiches in all of Argentina on our visit!
