Wow! I brought my 4-year-old in today for an ingrown toenail and I could not be more pleased with…read moreour experience. They scheduled us quickly when I called yesterday, worried it was infected (it was) and they were flexible in scheduling around a series of doctor appointments I already had scheduled. The medical forms they had me fill out weren't overly cumbersome like they are at most offices. They took us right at the appointment time and each person we met was friendlier than the last - they were all so kind to my child and made her feel special and welcomed instead of afraid. The doctor came in right away and boy was he wonderful! He is so kind and gentle and patient. He didn't use any scary words in front of her, but made sure I understood everything he was going to do. We were done with the entire appointment, start to finish, in under twenty minutes, but never felt rushed. It felt like my child was the only patient they would see that day and she was their priority - very few doctors make you feel that way these days. And usually you have to be in a pediatrician's office or in the pediatric wing of a hospital to find medical professionals who know how to treat a child in such a respectful and age-appropriate way, but not here - this office knows what they're doing! Hopefully, our foot and toe issues are over, but if we ever have problems in the future, I know where we are going!

Dr. Leff lied right to my face and said he was going to do one thing and did the complete opposite…read more It makes it pretty hard to trust him to have my best interest in the course of treatment. His front office staff is difficult to deal with and not very helpful at times. Some of them can be VERY rude. I had a worker's comp situation a few years ago because I broke my foot at work. I had trouble getting a claim established and it took several months to get a claim number from my employer's worker's comp insurance carrier. I explained the situation with Cindy and she said I could run it through my health insurance and then if I got a worker's comp claim number they could reprocess it so that's what I did. When it came time to reprocess the claims, she was very rude and made it seem like it was a huge burden and clearly didn't want to allow me to reprocess the claims but that's the only way the worker's comp was going to pay for it. So I paid $95 on copays so they could get paid and so there weren't any delinquent bills. They reprocessed the claims and then only refunded me $30 of the $95 I paid, a year later. Fast forward a couple years, I need to see them related to the worker's comp claim again because my ankle is bothering me...and their office manager or whatever her title is, Stephanie Walker, calls me to tell me that they will be billing my health insurance and will refuse to reprocess the claims if I don't open the worker's comp claim before my appointment. Clearly she does not want to deal with worker's comp at all and sees me as a burden and not worth their office's time. That's the tone of voice she used with me. She made a comment that she would have to bill me as a new patient because I haven't been seen in 3 years. I asked for clarification on this because it seemed odd since i should be considered an established patient. She clearly did not feel that she had to explain this to me based on her tone of voice. She states that it's common practice everywhere not just their office to do that. I said that I've never run into that where they treat you as a new patient just because you haven't been there for a while. And she says "I didn't know you were a medical biller!" Like that is totally uncalled for, inappropriate and unprofessional. I was just asking if she could explain what she meant by her statement and why that was. They also stated that they will bill to my personal health insurance and will refuse to rebill to worker's comp. I'm having a hard time getting the claim reopened and they want documentation that my current situation is related to the initial injury. So there's no way around the doctor's office having to rebill to worker's comp if it's deemed related. Their unwillingness to help and the way they can't be bothered to do their jobs is unbelievable. Front office staff could use some lessons in customer service and bedside manner. The fact that the office staff is unwilling to work with you, makes it hard to find good enough reason to keep going to this place. It's not my fault I had a worker's comp claim. It's not my fault the timing didn't line up between getting a claim number and seeking help. Do you even care about your patients? Wtf? I'm just so floored by the attitude of the staff. I find it odd how Dr. Leff could let his office be run by such miserable, unfriendly, and unhelpful people but you know what they say... the fish rots at the head. It makes me want to find a new provider. I don't think I can keep going to a place that treats their patients like this. However, I feel as though I must go back since this issue is related to the first injury since they saw me the first time. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do. Come to think of it, I've had quite a number of problems with this place. From problems with the admins to numerous billing problems. And they have something against communicating by email. Well why do you have an email address, a contact form, and an online portal if you're not going to allow your patients to communicate with you through them? If you want to be treated like crap by the office staff and lied to by your doctor, you can go here. Otherwise, choose somewhere else. Oh and they told me they were discharging me from the practice after they got wind of this review. Rather than try to fix the problems and correct things and take it as an opportunity to improve... they tell you not to come back. I was already planning to change providers but it shows you just how much they care about their patients and making things right. What's the point of asking for reviews if you're only going to be ok with the positive ones? Take it as an opportunity to improve and make things right. I'd avoid going here if you can.
