I wanted an attorney to represent me for a Chapter 35 Hearing for Temporary Authorization to take care of my Grandson because his mother is absent. AMS law group made a mistake when looking over these documents and said it was a custody case and even tried to convince me my own court documents were something other than what they actually said. I believe thats why gave me an outraegous number much larger than what I was told a simple document like that would be. They thought it was a much different case but if they simply read the papers I handed over they would've seen it was a Chapter 35 hearing set for Oct 5th.. nothing to do at all with custody and that was on purpose so things could be smooth and fast so my grandson can go to the doctor and school. Never did I leave a review to "leverage a lower price" you all simply did not do your job right and Im telling others so they don't waste their time and get disapointed like I did. I found this Law Firm on "MUSLIM YELLOW PAGES" Hence why I took notice of the lack of salam when I wasn't greeted back with Salams. Small detail. Biggest detail is how you guys mishandled my papers and thought it was a custody case and never touched on that when I called you guys about the review. You tried to keep it focused on the salams. She is an excellent attorney and if you need to go to mediation, she knows how to make things work in favor of you, her client. My mediation for divorce with my wife involved a property that my wife had bought in Alabama and that came in to play. She knows the Texas law and how it affects out of state properties. After seeing my review online, Mr Barber's social media manager reached out to me to talk about the case. She completely understood the communication problems I had been having with the previous attorney (Matt Herzog, who I still hold is absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful), and asked if I would speak to Mr. Barber himself, the founding partner of the firmer. I said I wanted nothing to do with Matt or his nasty assistant Michelle, and they made sure that that was the case. It was a different world from then on. Mr Barber brought us into the office for an in person meeting, something Matt had never bothered to do. He was very personable, he apologized profusely for the bad service we had received with Matt, and assured us that that was not the standard by which he intends to conduct his firm. He took time to listen to our concerns, to discuss settlement options, and never questioned the veracity of my claims (unlike Matt). He was an absolute and total professional. Kris Barber was a delight to work with. He sent us both emails updating on the progress throughout, we never had to chase him down to get any information on the case. He was respectful and inclusive- it was nice to be treat as an equal instead of talked down to. In the end, Mr Barber reduced his fees to give me an even larger settlement, as another apology for Matt's bad behavior. And the settlement ended up being almost exactly the same number Matt had thought ludicrous. The settlement was nearly double what I had been told was on the high end. I was exceptionally pleased with the outcome, and will highly recommend Kris Barber personally to anyone I know in a car accident.
